Ate there on Saturday morning 3/30/24.Service:They are very short staffed with one older gentleman running the floor. He wasn’t rude, but wasn’t polite. I believe it was because of our age, most of the people in the restaurant were 60+. I could overhear his conversation with them and he was nice and apologetic for the longer service times. With us he always had an angry tone of annoyance of us being there.Food:I ordered the Pecan waffles and my wife got the eggs Benedict. It took about 40-60 min for the meals to arrive after ordering. Her eggs Benedict was good, the potato wedges were overcooked, over salted and hard. My waffles arrived as plain(I had ordered pecan) they were hard and tore apart like ripping cardboard. Bacon tasted reheated. Overall with exception of the eggs Benedict, the food tasted as if it sat in the food warmer for 30+min after being ready. I didn’t complain because I didn’t want to waste any more of my day on a vacation weekend.NOTE:coffee was goodAtmosphere:Besides the poor service and the unpleasant staff the place is outdated and dirty. There are glass chandeliers everywhere with a cleaning attempt you’d expect from a 2-star hotel. Just full of dust in the inconvenient but very visible places. A plant rack near the front door that looked more of a cheap garage storage rack for traveling plant sales. The menus were printed paper but were given to us stained and sticky.I was not pleased with my dining experience here… I want nothing in return, but I do want to keep others of making the mistake of thinking this place will live up to any rating higher than 3.5 stars on a good day.

I really wanted to like the place because it has been there forever. The first time I went there was nothing but meat or similar items available at the time. I went again and was able to order vegetarian items, but there was way too much butter or oil. Severe diarrhea! Beware. Bakery items did look good though. :b

My favorite lunch spot in Montgomery. Excellent food in a casual atmosphere full of the “who’s who” of Montgomery.Dietary restrictions: Keto/low carb and gluten free options.

Hours say open until 2pm but rude hostess yells - "guys were done with lunch" at us as we walk in at 12.40.

Picked up lunch, parking was a little cramped, but got a space. The place was not crowded but busy, service was friendly and pleasant and the food was very good, I will go back.

This used to be a treat location to dine in a beautiful and quiet atmosphere off the beaten path. Currently they are understaffed and I waited far too long for 2 to-go orders of chicken salad.Food is always delicious!!

I just ordered a pastry tray to be delivered to the mother of a thirty three year old man who died in a car crash a few days ago. I am in Illinois and they delivered to the family within two and a half hours. I have never had such great service. Thant You !
