They replaced the starter in my SUV. They got to me fast this morning, had my car finished after lunch at an affordable price. I would recommend this mechanic to others.
Edit: They just replaced my alternator too. Best price in town and they did it in less than 4 hours. Incredible service.

Do not take your vehicle to Powell Automotive. I took my 2006 VW beetle to Powell for repair. David called me to tell me what he found wrong with the vehicle, A piece broke off of the oil housing, Vacuum hose. when I took my vehicle in the yellow fluid warning light was on. He told me it would cost $1500.00 I agreed for them to fix the problem, one day later the same light was back on. They did not fix the problem. WARNING DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO POWELL AUTOMOTIVE.

They have worked on 2 of my Volkswagens and 2 of my ******** made vehicles. I could not have been happier with their work. They're not only competent and professional but they are also reasonable. They've quite literally saved me thousands of dollars just over the past 5 years. ******** is much more reasonable than the Dealerships.Since becoming a long time regular customer, Mr *********************** (Owner) has gone out of his way a few times to help me, especially when my husband has been unreachable.It's truly nice to have someone trust worthy to take your car to! I feel Very Fortunate to have Powell's Automotive available to me because I honestly don't know what I would do

Took my car in for an oil leak got a call from David Powell saying that my water pump was also leaking . Agreed to have it replaced also total came to $1400 . Less than a week later car was leaking oil from that exact same place that was supposed to be fixed the first time. Took it back after they fixed they charged me $409 . David said that had 2 oil leaks this time one of which was a oil pressure switch and that’s why the $409 charge + $16 because I had to use card to pay . There was no mention of this second leak Nor did I get a call about it before the claimed they fixed it . Definitely not the way to conduct business, truly believe the second leak was made up to cover there mistake the first time . Will not be doing business here again.
