Only Pet store near me, every time we go to buy pet bird food, there out of the normal weights and only hand the 8 & 10 lb sizes at double the cost of the 2-3 lb sizes. We end up driving to Prattville al to buy $100.00 worth of bird food. Alternative is to buy it on line, and that's better than eith of the local alternatives.

I will never shop at Petco in Montgomery Al again. I may never use any petco. The staff is rude and seem to have no interest in doing their job and helping customers. Go to Pet Supermaket much friendlier and helpful staff. Reptiles seem more active and healthy too.

I start by saying that the seems to be NO responses to reviews rated at 2 stars or less, so I doubt if this one will be or not. Each time I go to this PETCO, in Montgomery, Al, it seems like the cashier gets a bonus for asking for my phone number, but today, really pissed me off! I have two, 90 pound German Shepards with healthy appetites, so it is regular for me to pick up the 34 pound Purina Pro Plan to keep them full. Now, I realize that this is just a "drop in the bucket" for Petco, but it's the principle. Today, I approached the counter, and "Rachel" the receipt says, was texting someone on her phone. Rather than saying, "Good morning, I'll be with you in a moment," she said, I'm multi tasking!" Just as I was backing up to return my purchase to the shelf, she said "May I help you?" I showed her the large bag of dog food, and then she said, "Phone number?" I told her I didn't want to give me number. She got "offended" and told me it's on sale, but you have to give a number. I then said, I'm not interested in a sale, and I don't HAVE to give up my number! Finally, she said, "You will save $3.00!" I said look, I'm not interested in giving up my number, so please ring this up so I can go! I was at the register at 10:43 am on Oct. 30, 2023.I went online and found PET SUPERMARKET On Perry Hill Rd. has what I need! C. Clay LT.Col. USAF (RET.)

Please allow me to take a moment to recognize Mandy, Sydney, and Petco Staff. In the past three (3) months I bought a property and restored a pond that was a bit neglected. After looking for countless landscapers and not receiving response follow ups my son and I decided to redo the pond to house Koi. The results were phenomenal.Koi were very hard to find in our area, but Petco consistently had them and so the story begins. Each month (twice) we went over to Petco and purchased Koi (oldest 2 to 3 months old from purchase date) and to date they continue to flourish without any issues. The staff each time was professional, interested, stressed the importance of a healthy habitat, what it takes to ensure a healthy habitat, and was extremely welcoming.Our next communication with the Petco staff will always be cherished and remembered! Mandy recalled our situation, my search, and asked me questions which led to one of the most amazing blessings for all involved! Mandy in the most professional and ethical manner matched a customer and I with similar needs which solved a problem. Initially all were excited, but we were concerned about the rehoming, transportation, and overall health of the fish. Unfortunately, none in this area advertises rescue and/or transportation services for Koi. Mandy and Sydney were not deterred and their clear determination, compassion, and care for animals was so evident. They researched, always communicated with parties, and a time was scheduled for the transfer. If I am not mistaken these ladies stated this was their first rescue and rehome, but it seemed as anything but. From netting the fish, calming them down, a smooth ride, and a slow peaceful introduction to their new environment the entire process was flawless, heartwarming, and beyond what I ever imagined. Mandy, Sydney, and the Montgomery, AL Petco staff are simply amazing! Every encounter they go above and beyond to ensure animals are cared for and customers are knowledgeable to ensure well-being and health for pets. Clearly their love and care for animals is authentic and extends past the store. I am forever grateful for Mandy, Sydney, and Petco! These ladies represent and are the epitome of what Petco stands for and advertises. Thank you so much and I hope these employees are valued as much as they provide! They deserve so much more than this review and although I tried to compensate them for their time, resources, and gas they respectfully refused and were elated to help the fish and customers! Thank you for the opportunity to cross paths Petco and a heartfelt sincere thank you to Mandy and Sydney!

I have been a long time customer of petco and I a sad to say that I will no longer be a customer at the petco located in Montgomery , AL. This store and it manager and district managers are never on the same page and don't care about their customers. It seems like everyday it's a new way of doing things there is no consistency in the store. One day an item will be 6.99 the next the same item is now 11.99. And when you ask why all they have to say that's the way it should have been.

31 March 2021, Wednesday. This will probably not be share but I am going to said it anyway. I ? pray we all learn from this and do better. not only happened with groomer at Petco Dog Grooming but at 3 other grooming facilities here in Montgomery AL and 1 grooming facility in Wetumpka AL. I first want to say I have already forgiven every last one of these groomers at all of these grooming facility. God says we must forgive to be forgiven. But I strongly and definitely did not like what happened to my furbaby, my family member, who I strongly enjoyed being with and ? Loved being with more than some people I know and yes my furbaby was spoil rotten. But groomers are supposed to be "TRAINED" to groom pets. Pets with all temperament or do not touch a ?, puppy, dog ?, cat? or anypet. It should not take but a few short minutes for a groomer to tell if a pet is difficult for their skill level and if so the groomer should call the owner and tell the owner. Another thing I strongly did not like at all, none of these groomers, every last one of them did not tell me they had hurted my furbaby. "Communication" is very important in every stage of life. Everybody makes mistakes, even me, but everyone of these groomers should have told me they had hurted my furbaby when I came and picked up my furbaby fom them. I should not have to see it when I got home and because my furbaby got sick and I had to rush my furbaby to get medical care and my furbaby was put on medicine. Neither one of the groomers in Montgomery AL and not in Wetumpka AL, neither of them gave me absolutely nothing on my furbaby bill even when I told them. Sometimes people hurt others people's pets to hurt the owner ??. After this happened with my furbaby the first time I removed my spoiled rotten furbaby. After that I googled and got questions and asked the questions to the other groomers. I should have gotten it in writing. So, may I make a suggestion to you, google and ask them to read the questions from Google a groomers and, suggestion remember, ask them ? to sign and ?hear what come out of their mouth ?. I google a lot and I learn a lot. These are people ? who said they are trained groomers should be able to deal with any ? dog or ?puppy or any other pet they touch or do not touch that pet. If I had my way all 4 of them would be made to serve ? years behind bars for ?NOT telling me that they had hurted my furbaby, not telling me at all. Is this animal cruelty and also furmommy abuse??? One of my reasons my precious ? fun ?? loving ❤ spoiled ? rotten and funny ? furbaby is ?no longer with me is because I could not protect my furbaby and I strongly hope in Jesus Name that my furbaby was not hurted to ?? hurt me. Remember I said I have forgiven all of the groomers that hurted my furbaby and want them to also know I ?Love them. They did not teach us that in school, they only taught us typing on manual typewriter in school. I did 2 pictures with this with a prayer and GOD'S h we lp. I have a strange feeling that at least one other person who will read this also wants to write at least one of the things I wrote and is too ?afraid to write it. I've been taking my fur baby here for the last year and always, always, always get impeccable service. My pup is happy to be handed over for his monthly grooming appt. Crystal is the best, she fixed my quarantine cut and made him handsome again.

Aight, well it’s been a minute since I commented on this place. But it’s time for them to get out of the dog house...???...no pun intended! Anyway...I had to go get my dogs nails clipped and buffed. I have two Schnauzers...one is the best and one is the WORSE...we even thought about leaving her there. But the woman who clipped her nails had so much enthusiasm and she loved what she did. The way she dealt with my “I thought I had home training.” Dog was wonderful. I felt bad because my dog wouldn’t shut up and stop whining. The Groomer was Crystal I ? think. But yeah if you need things to happen for you the way you want “your” ? dog to look then Petco Grooming is the place to GO! Btw they have a great selection on food and pet supplies. ?? thanks Petco! 5 ? stars for you guys! ?

Shadow was nicely groomed and smelled good. And his nails were trimmed really low , how i like them.He was stilled damp , only because he didn't want to sit still from the blow dryer.I will definitely keep getting my baby groomed at Petco.They took care of him and was fast
