purchase a 50.00 vanilla gift card on 3/5/23, and call the number on back of card to get it activate. To my surprise the card was activated as soon as I purchased the card from the bx and I didn't get to add my card number, expiration date or zip code, as I usually do after I purchase a store vanilla gift card, all because the card was already activated when purchase at the maxwell BX. Anyway, I was about to hear that 50.00 was on the card but as soon as I hung up the phone, tried to make a online purchase the card quickly had a 0 balance. I'm out of 50.00 bucks already. Just beware of this if you're buying the vanilla gift card from the BX. The store manager told me there was nothing they can do about it, and yes their cards are immediately activated upon purchase. Never had nor heard of this. I activate gift cards myself once purchase Beware

Today I went to the Maxwell AFB Exchange. I had a mixed reaction. Most of my experience was positive. People at the front, at the vision center, at the jewelry counter, and at most of the businesses there were very positive. They were having a health fair with people from the community which was also positive. The one negative reaction stood out. I asked a woman if the cupcakes were for the customers. She said she didn't know anything about it. I noticed that there were specific people gathering around them and noted that it probably wasn't for me and started to leave. The woman became arrogant and rude. I continued to walk away since I did not want to engage in that conversation at which time she became louder and more rude. I walked out the door but was struck at the level of her anger and negativity. That is somebody that either needs training in customer service or should not be working around people at all

The clothing store is great.The sew shop in the back is 100% a rip off too dang expensive and takes to damn long to get things back.
