We checked in on 9/20 and had the pleasure of dealing with Koronda at check in. She is a gem. She joked around with us and had us laughing. We checked in extremely tired from a long day of traveling and she made our evening joyful.
Then, we came down to the restaurant for dinner and we had the pleasure of being taken care of by Sylvia. She is also a gem. Excellent customer service and also a joy! She called each of us Sunshine but Sylvia and Koronda are pure sunshine.
Please take care of these ladies because we will be back on our travels because of them.

Once again I check into a hotel and the floor they put me on the ice machine didn't work. The front desk lady Mrs. Angela Nance took great care of me and moving me to the 2nd floor where the ice machine works !!

Love the service at this location. It keeps me coming back. Many of us have served our country, but we don't forget those that hold things down.
Safety: Pretty cozy location away from residential but within a business square with good security.
Noteworthy details: Great centralized spot. Close to downtown and near some great places to eat and pick up grocery or needed supplies

Appears they are trying to be a higher end hotel the lobby is much nicer than the rooms ;they have to clean up the rooms and do some more remodeling. We had no shower curtain, there was mold in the tub, around the toilet base looked like a rusted dirty mess, beds were not comfortable to me, a tiny bit of soap in the dispenser, Not to mention there is no free breakfast which our kids enjoy. We stayed next door at Hampton last time and it was so much better than Garden inn and they are owned by the same company.
Rooms: Not the best they need better cleaning
Nearby activities: Tons of shopping across the street

Hilton Garden Inn - Montgomery East
I will preface that I’ve stayed in plenty of the mid tier Hilton brands over the past 5 years and this location sticks out as a favorite for my Montgomery travels. I gave this location a chance as I wanted a break from downtown and it’s rising parking cost without also being subjected to the mix of shoppers at East Chase. The physical location here lends itself to being a key reason I picked it. It’s a business park that is quiet, and set back from the interstate. I had access to four different rooms from the 2nd floor facing the interstate. I could not hear nor see the interstate from them. It’s not going to be an issue staying here.
I did have a slight hiccup with my room, BUT these things happen and it was likely unreported by a prior guest. I came downstairs ten minutes after checking in and Melvin reassured me it would be handled while also moving my room down the hall. I received service with a smile and any time I came into or left out the hotel Angela, Melvin, or Koronda all spoke and offered up suggestions on the surrounding area.
When I realized I had family plans mixed up and needed to add nights to my stay, Angela took care of making those additional bookings, and even had extra towels and toiletries delivered to the room before I myself could make it back up stairs. The service and hospitality at this location is a well oiled machine that isn’t often seen at properties twice the cost or three times the notoriety.
Many reviewers of the property seem to overlook that breakfast and dinner has a charge but to my knowledge of over 50 stays in the Hilton program, the Hilton garden inn portfolio has never provided complimentary breakfast outside of status with Hilton Honors. If that’s what you want you may be better suited for the Homewood or Home2 in the area (everyone loves a deal or included things - not knocking it. I get it). Otherwise, You must select it as a benefit in lieu of 750 points if you’re gold or above, or pay the cost. To me the breakfast was plentiful, filling, and worth it. You’re waited on, the staff are hospitable, and the food comes out fresh every day we had breakfast on site. The chef was the good southern hospitality type and he made our mornings with delivering fresh coffee to our table in his downtime while the family came up with plans during the day.
Overall, I will be back here. Proximity to everything (downtown and shopping in east chase) without being in the middle of everything is huge for me. The hospitality and service I received also helped. Thanks to everyone that made this visit review worthy. Yall are doing everything right for the brand. I appreciate it. Their GM should be very proud. The holiday weekend was lovely.

Rooms: Rooms are the typical Hilton garden variety. These appear to be the 2018-2021 refresh of the brand style. They’re not stale, beds are super comfortable, and AC can get as cold or hot as you like it with an on fan setting that keeps air fresh.
Nearby activities: Shopping to the east. Downtown to the west. Ten minutes to each. Zoo to the north in 15 minutes as well as another mall
Safety: Typical hotel measures after 10pm. Safe area in business park that sees little traffic. Typical police patrol. Never felt the need to carry specifically.
Food and drinks: Yes you pay for the food. You do so everywhere. It’s reasonably priced and delicious.
Noteworthy details: The staff are the value. They have a wealth of knowledge of the area and make the stay enjoyable. Talk to them and you’ll never be bored or lacking an idea for downtime.

Upset us that our room was not tended to. We don't ask to have our bed made but a clean sink & towels would have made our day. We asked at the desk about it & they told us every other day. That is nonsense when you pay $500.00 for two nights.

In order to accommodate the elderly, I suggest that we remove the bathtub and install a shower during the renovation.

I stayed at this location on June 9th 2024. We left a pair of AirPods in the room when leaving in a hurry. Dumb I know, but it happened. They were pinged there a day after we left. Stopped by on the way thru to see if they were returned fully expecting them to not be, which they weren’t. The bad review is directed toward “Betty” the service manager I think it was. She essentially started blaming us stating that most guests find their missing items in their luggage and that her staff wouldn’t take something. Yea right they wouldn’t. They were left in charge on the nightstand in plain view.
Be extra sure not to leave anything behind here. You won’t get it back and will be hassled if ya try to.
Safety: Lock your things up.

Staff, though nice, seem like something is going on, food tasted old and stale at the snack bar, restaurant was weird tasting dinner, the NY strip wasn't a NY strip and tea didn't taste like tea, salad dressing was something they made up so disgusting. I wish I had the power to have them investigated by upper management because something just feel way off there. The worst was that the toilet wouldn't turn off cause someone put in the cheapest plastic setup I have ever seen.

The overall experience was acceptable, but there were a few areas that could have been improved. The hotel didn't offer any extra pillows or shower caps, which was a bit inconvenient. Additionally, the breakfast options were quite limited, leaving much to be desired. Beyond these points, there wasn't anything particularly remarkable that stood out during the stay.

The staff was very friendly and helpful! The room was nice, I gave 4 stars for the room because there was a pet hair in the bed when I pulled back the covers. But other than that, it was a nice stay.
