Worst service, worst people. The manager at this location is the most arrogant person I have met. She got involved on her own. We were speaking with a decent man. Everything was going well. She got involved and insulted me and started speaking to my husband. They told us we would have to wait even though our booking was confirmed for 8.30 AM. We said we would wait if you give us a time frame as we have a doctor’s appointment in Dothan. They told us we cannot guarantee anything and there is a possibility that we will not get a car at all. They had a car available but they were asking us to pay another $40. Any other car rental company allows free upgrades if they do not have what we booked. Even after all this, we were ready to wait, but the manager was so rude, I almost called 911. I have never experienced anything like this anywhere. Before anything she needs to learn to speak to their customers. Do not rent any cars from this location or this company.

I see some negative reviews on this rental location and I just want to saw i have NEVER had a bad experience with the staff or a problem getting a rental. 5 star service every time!!!

Horrible customer I miss Paris and Mr Steven the new manager at this location is very disrespectful I am a in the military and I was denied a car even with a reservation because I answered truthfully to the survey they sent via email I hat to be at a base 3 hours away only to arrive at hertz to be told that I couldn’t receive a car because I truthfully answered the survey this is the worse hertz location on the United States corporate should look at the reviews and investigate the character integrity and dignity of their managers you send surveys for the truth of how your business is being handled not a lie just go to Avis you get what you pay for and the service is worth any penny I make to spend

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. Company will charge a 250-500 deposit before getting the vehicle. Even if you pay in advance you will still need to pay deposit. Will take 10 days to get deposit back. They will try to upcharge for mileage. Just go elsewhere.

I prepaid for a rental car from July 15 to August 8, 2025. Upon arrival, I was informed by the manager, Raven, that no vehicles were available—despite my reservation and full prepayment.
On July 22, Raven informed me that cars were finally available, so I took an Uber from Maxwell AFB to the rental location. However, upon arrival, I was not offered any adjustment or refund for the days the vehicle was unavailable, even though I had already paid for that period.
I am currently pursuing a refund for the days I was not provided the service I paid for.
To my fellow service members and military families: I strongly advise against using this location. In my experience, they failed to honor a prepaid agreement and did not show appropriate regard for military personnel.

Terrible Experience – Never Again
I made a reservation with Hertz on Monday, July 21, for a car I was supposed to pick up on Thursday, July 24. Right after booking online, I called the specific branch to confirm everything. They told me the reservation was good, the car would be ready, and that I could come on Thursday to pick it up. I had an important trip planned in Florida and was expected for a meeting that same evening.
When I showed up at the branch on Thursday, they had no car for me. No warning, no call, nothing! When I asked what was going on, they clearly didn’t care. The staff was completely indifferent, zero customer service, and offered no help or real explanation. They told me to either wait until the afternoon or call back around 2 PM, saying a car might be available.
I waited and called again, no one ever called me back, and I never got a car. Because of their incompetence and lack of responsibility, I missed a very important meeting I had that evening.
Absolutely disgraceful. This company is unreliable, their customer service is non-existent, and they show zero respect for their customers’ time or plans. I will never book with Hertz again, and I highly recommend you don’t either.

Would give zero stars if possible. When I showed up for my rental, there were no cars available. I pre-booked this days in advance. It was confirmed. No call or email to let me know. This was super inconvenient because I needed to make it to the Atlanta airport for a flight. Go anywhere else but here.

Awful service. Booked a car week before and sitting for more than 2 hours, still they cannot provide me a car. They won't even say that they cannot provide me car. Asking me to just sit and wait!!!

Review: Very Disappointed with Neighborhood Location Experience**
I’m a long-time Hertz customer and President’s Circle member, but my recent experience at this neighborhood location has me seriously reconsidering future rentals. I arrived just one hour late to pick up my reserved vehicle—only to find out it had been given away. I was never informed that my reservation would be released so quickly, and there was no flexibility or understanding shown.
What’s worse, despite my status, it meant nothing at this location. I had to pay additional fees because the only vehicle left was an upgrade I didn’t ask for. It’s frustrating—how many times have I rented from Hertz and had to wait for a vehicle to be cleaned or stood in a long line? In those moments, customers are expected to be patient and extend grace. But apparently, that same grace doesn’t go both ways.
Sadly, I’m very unlikely to use this location again. Consistency, transparency, and customer service were all lacking in this experience.

A rather disappointing vehicle rental experience. Booked a car for an 18 day period. The car we got can only be described as an ash tray on wheels. It stank & was not suitable to transport children around. We called back that day to request a different car and were told we would be called when a more suitable car was available. 18 days and a few more calls later, the situation remained unchanged. Hertz sent a survey requesting feedback which was provided with no follow up regarding our concerns. Additionally, the car provided was past due for a service and windscreen water tank was empty.

Raven made everything better!!! She was super nice and super positive! I do understand the car inventory being low, but think they are stocking up now! Thanks Raven for making my day!!! GOOD Customer service is is rare, but I so appreciate it...it just makes the world a better place!
