We traveled to Dr Duke from Gulfport because he was recommended for my son’s furbaby’s dental work. He did not disappoint ! He went above and beyond to explain everything that needed to be done and went out of his way to take care of Samson right then so we didn’t have to wait the weekend and make another trip. He and his staff are amazing and we would highly recommend him for your furbaby’s needs.

I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Duke. Extremely professional, thorough, kind, and considerate.
My Golden Retriever needed dental care and he went above and beyond to ensure that my puppy was comfortable and taken care of.
He even stayed late to get everything resolved that same day so we did not have to make multiple trips from Mississippi. I would and will continue to recommend him to everyone I know for their pet needs.

I had to take my dog in for emergency care when he was ill. They kept him overnight, medicated him and gave him lots of love. I highly recommend Dr Duke and his staff.

There was a small lump on my dog and I took him to Duke and the vet said don’t worry about it, It’s just a mass and “not harmful”. 2 years later it started to grow and grow fast and Duke kept saying it’s ok. My gut told me otherwise. I took the dog to Springhill pet hospital to find out it’s CANCER! Now they are having emergency surgery to HOPEFULLY get all of out but it might be to late. Duke is absolutely a terrible vet. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

AVOID DUKE ANIMAL CLINIC!!!--If you value your pet's safety and well-being. I took my sweet dog for an appointment at 9AM. Staff refused to greet me. Instead, a mentally disabled woman had a violent and loud breakdown in the reception area for 20 minutes, scaring my dog, while the receptionists chatted with her. I listened to 20 minutes of vile profanity before the receptionist finally recognized me at 9:20 for a 9AM appointment I arrived on time for. My dog was anxious due to the erratic behavior of the strange woman in the reception area, and so I asked to go back with my pet to comfort and hold her while she had her anal glands expressed. If I am with her, it is no problem, otherwise she is scared. But "Jackie" the vet tech refused to allow me to comfort my girl. Instead, she tried roughly pulling my pet like a stubborn mule, and as my dog quivered and cowered, she placed a second leash around the dog's neck like a noose and pulled harder and harder. I would not abuse an animal so casually, but this seems to be common practice at Duke. "Jackie" acted so clumsily and aggressively that it honestly seemed like she had never met a dog before, or that she was very angry and looking to take it out on someone. "Jackie" (I had to ask her name later, since she never even introduced herself to me as basic courtesy would demand) was extremely aggressive to my pup and very rude to me. I told her I would not let her handle my dog, since the poor thing was terrified. In response she slammed the door in my face and stormed off. So, insulted and angry, I left. Dr. Duke stood in the hallway with his mouth open like a fish, gaping, offering no assistance or explanation. He clearly could not care less about the animals in his care. I am not convinced he is competent at his advanced age. I have had good experiences at this office in the past, and maybe Duke was a decent vet as a younger man, but things have gotten really bad recently and he clearly is checked out. He should retire. I called later to speak with him about his employee's abusive and disrespectful behavior, but he refused to return my call. Rude, abusive, unprofessional, disgusting, cowardly. It's not worth it folks. If you love your pet, then take them anywhere else. Duke is a NIGHTMARE!!!

To anyone who say differently about Dr. Duke it’s a shame. He has always treated our animals with the utmost respect and bent over backwards, literally to make sure they are comfortable in the worst of times. Thank you Duke Animal Clinic for years of great service and care.

Had to put our cat to sleep, and Dr Duke was the one you did it. My cat was very old and skinny and brittle, it was time. When he got her out of her cage you put her down instead of being gentle with her he grabs her by her head and pulls her out, then when he was putting her to sleep on the table he kept spinning her around like she was nothing, he is clearly only in for the money and don’t care about your pets.

My mom took her cat and had his teeth cleaned and some removed. She was thrilled at the service and professionalism of the clinic. Big Boy, her cat is feeling much better now. I highly recommend their service.

Dr. Duke is one is one of the most caring veterinarians in Mobile. He is the only vet I use. He will treat emergencies at no charge if the circumstances warrant. He will come into the clinic, even if it's inconvenient for him, to feed and/or medicate patients every couple of hours. He euthenized our beloved dog, Ruger, and was extremely compassionate. He even let our daughter make her own clay paw. He takes emergencies on Sundays, and stays long hours after closing to tend to patients. He has been in practice for many years and has a wealth of knowledge. If you want a caring, knowledgeable veterinarian, I would highly recommend Dr. Duke.

The staff here are all curtious and professional, the wait time was short, they really seem to genuinely care about the animals they treat, costs are very reasonable compared to other clinics, I would highly recommend Duke animal clinic above the rest !
