I visited Cotton Capers for fabric to make a slipcover for a chair. I know nothing about the type of fabric for which I was looking, and am paying someone else make it. I was approached by an employee who directed me to the type of fabric I needed. She was rather curt, and might I add, dismissive of me. The store was not busy, as there was another employee standing near the door catching up with a couple whom I guess he knew. Perhaps this employee is a seamstress and knows exactly what she's doing. Or perhaps she was having a bad day. That's fine. What is not okay is rude. I am not from Mobile, but I've never been treated like that in a store that is locally owned. Most local merchants welcome my business. I'll likely never again darken this store's doors.

Great place with wonderful staff. The owners are so helpful and nice and take extra time to make sure you find what you need and want. They have such a huge variety of quality fabrics. I always leave satisfied with my experience and purchases.

Cannot say enough about the staff, selections and quality of craftsmanship that comes from Cotton Capers. We had 4 pillows made and honestly, the wife couldn’t be happier! Friendly staff and a quality fabric selection with fabric friendly for anyone’s budget, this is the go to spot for custom upholstery in our area. Will definitely be coming back for any additional upholstery needs we have!
