Avis was the worst car rental place ever! I called to find out the drop off procedure & was placed on hold by Heidi for 42 minutes. I finally hung up when I arrived & explained I was the person who was holding. Heidi was very ARGUMENTATIVE & then added a charge to my rental statement. I've reported this Alabama Avis to the BBB & will never rent from them again!

Horrible customer service. I called to inquire about the drop-off process. Hailey picked up the phone & left me on hold over 54 minutes. When I arrived, I informed her I just hung up after being on hold for such a long time. She never stood up off the stool. Hailey was extremely RUDE..UNPROFESSIONAL AND ARGUMENTATIVE! I DO NOT RECOMMEND Avis to anyone again.

The car was dirty and they charged a late fee of which we had no idea about. Don't rent here it is not a good experience. When I talked to the owner he acted like he could care less about what I was telling him. Stay far away from this place

I rent a youkon denali but after time the car won’t start they tell me go to swap it in the airport in the morning but They didn’t help me and the woman in front desk she wont let tell her what happened with me everything i paid for the upgrade car before but they give me lower car it’s was abad experience

Car wasn't cleaned but I was ok with it. Ladies at the counter are awesome! Don't rent a RAV4 they are very plastic feeling and have an electric parking brake that will almost give you whiplash when putting it in park. The auto start stop sounds like the starter is going to come out the hood. ( This is a car manufacturer problem not Avis)

Very disappointing experience with AVIS both local and corporate customer service. No ability to extend rental by even a single day. No one takes any ownership of this glaring issue. I won’t be using AVIS in the future. Also the car was dirty, greasy, and sticky. No wiper fluid.

When the airport canceled any flights back to our home for 2 days I had to drive to Atlanta to catch a flight and when I called AVIS they confirmed that I could drop the car off there for no extra charge. A month later when the bill came it was 1300 dollars instead of 300 like we expected. This avis is not a CoRPoRaTE location so if you return a car to a different location they will charge you as much as possible, conveniently neglecting to tell you this at the desk. Do not rent a car from them, just get a taxi and go to the closest reputable rental business and save yourself 1000 dollars.

I made it home, and I thank God for Christy (it might be spelled Kristy, not sure, im sorry if i got it wrong).I was stranded at the airport when my flight was canceled, but I HAD to get back home to Raleigh the next day for work. Sadly, I had taken a lot of time off to attend to my father's final days and to make his final arrangements, but I was in danger of losing my job if I did not return. So I tried everything I could think of to find another way home, but everything went bust. All of the rental car companies were not allowed to rent to me as a walk up, so I finally just broke down and cried. I didn't know what to do, I was going through such a difficult time, grieving my dad, and I just couldn't keep it together anymore.Then Christy , my guardian angel that day, called me over. She had made some calls and managed to find me a way home. **(I CANNOT THANK HER ENOUGH!**I am forever grateful to her and to Avis for helping me that day. The compassion and kindness meant everything to me.Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

The representative at the counter had great customer service, explained the contract from top to bottom and was very helpful! Definitely will rent from this branch again!

I have never had a problem with this company. They are helpful with directions and if you need to know anything about the car or the area they go above and beyond!!!

They tell you to bring the car back on full and even if the guard says full- they charge you $20 if you don’t have a receipt for gas. It is not explained during the rental process. So if you drive 5 miles and return the car without a gas receipt- the charge you $20 - also horrible customer service.

First rental was dirty and the second vehicle also hadn't been cleaned. Requested sanitizing wipes as they were short vehicles. One staff member was friendly the other was not so much.

Charged me for insurance and roadside when my profile clearly has not to include it. The thing is that they didn't even mention it. Needs to be investigated for fraudulent business practices. Make sure you check your lease statement before you leave. They, however, are better than Hertz at this location, which I would have given a zero if I could.
