first of all this is not in hoover, it’s at the butt end of 280. i don’t care if it’s zoned hoover it’s not. secondly i called ahead to see if they could reshape one of my cowboy hats and the guy on the phone was so nice and said they could definitely do it. fast forward i live 30-40 minutes from this location and drove down today and was immediately told they probably couldn’t fix my hat after i had already called and told them what the issue was and they told me it would be no problem over the phone. i told the guy at the register could they at least look at it and see. he said sure and sent me to the part of the store where the hats are. i waited 30 minutes at the counter only for no one to even come by or check on me and no one showed up. since i needed the hat fixed within a few days i finally just picked up a new one and went back to the original counter to check out. the kid, yes i say kid because no one working at this store was over 19, asked me if anyone had helped me today and said no absolutely not and then asked if they had anyone working in the hat section. he replied that there should be a shaper/repair guy there to which i stated that i had been standing over in that section for 30+ minutes with no help at all. he blankly stared at me and didn’t say anything. i would not recommend this location at all. after driving 40 minutes there and 40 minutes back home 70 dollars out of pocket i’m actually livid. horrible service, and completely understaffed. as someone who currently works in the service industry myself i was extremely disappointed with the level of care. especially because most things sold in this store are well over 50-100 dollars.

Love, love, love this place! We went to Boot Barn first and we’re disappointed by how rude the the employees were. So we came to Cavender‘s and Grant helped us find the perfect pair of boots for myself and my husband. While we looked at the clothing, he polished our boots and got them looking nice for us. He was very helpful and polite. Would recommend shopping here 100%!!!!! Thanks Grant!!!

Always a great store for western wear. Was kind of disappointed about not finding any ranching work shirts but, did get a new hat. Also would have like to have the hat shaper guy there but he wasn’t. I needed an old hat reshaped.
