THEY WILL NOT ANSWER THE PHONE! EVER! I have called 9 times today and nobody answers. The last time I tried to call several months ago, I could never get them to answer either.

Never can get anyone to answer the phone and the last time we went to the location in McCalla Alabama. They told my wife information that wasn’t true and wasn’t helpful at all.

Awful! The two times I've disputed charges in like 6 years were both denied. The first bc they said my card#was stolen, but it was impossible for someone to steal my pin number. And this time it was bc a company who wanted to get money out of my account without permission did so. They don't back their members AT ALL! I'm closing this account asap.

I been with this bank since 2016. I always had a good experience until recently, the customer service was terrible with the girl that helped me. I'm not going to deep into detail but thanks to Mrs. Cynthia for saving the day for me, she was great! This one girl needs to take customer service classes, first impression is everything. If you lose your customers that's your job so humble yourself and be mindful of that. I'm looking into changing banks!

Cassie king is 1 of the worst individuals who works here. He was rude and refused to work with me or hardly tell me any info about my own account! What kind of a bank refuses to send bills out on loans? What a joke, I Hope mine is sold to a more competent bank soon

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. They never answer the phone. I had to deposit a check and pulled into one of the teller drive thru lanes that was lived open. Before I can get a word out of my mouth the teller yells at me" That lane is closed!" I said well the light said open. She proceeds to argue and say it was not on(not necessary) She could have served me there or asked me nicely to pull around to another lane. Then when I do pull into the next lane, she has me yell my husband's account number(that's great for your account security) because I have a screaming toddler in the car and she would not offer me something to write down the account number with. So waiting on our account to get hacked. Which has already happened with this bank.

Loan officers don’t return phone calls. Called 3 branches several times (McCalla, Bessemer and Hueytown). I even had someone go by the McCalla branch and ask if a loan officer was available and they said yes but they can’t call me. I have to call them even though I already have several times and left a message. In other words they don’t respond to their voicemails.

The last 7 times my mom has went here to deposit money, the banker ALWAYS messes it up. Puts it in another account, puts it in savings when it’s supposed to be in checking, anything we ask it’s done the opposite. Today, my mothers car payment wouldn’t have been paid in full and we would have gotten a late fee on YOUR mistake. We finally addressed it today and they blamed it on them being short staff and Covid. It doesn’t take you being short staffed or a 12 year old to put the money in the right account. Please stop blaming your multiple mistakes on covid. Other than this being an issue every single time, they are a great bank and offer great things, but please pay attention when you deal with money.

I recently financed some property i wanted to buy and David Couture with America’s first was a pleasure to work with! He was a fantastic loan originator and made the whole land process easy to understand and stress free. I have bought and sold property before using other people in the past and it was never pleasant like this time was. Would highly recommend to others.

I am concerned about using her drive through teller canisters. Although there are advertisements in the drive through for savings accounts and loans, there is nothing posted at the drive through windows about how the canisters are sanitized and cleaned. When was the last time someone cleaned it? Who knows? Has it ever been sanitized? Who knows? Does the teller sanitize between customers? Who knows?

Opened my first account in my teens. They have also served me well. Credit unions are the way to go and AFFCU is tops and the folks in the McCalla branch are fantastic.
