“My new favorite place to shop! Very very cute clothes and reasonably priced, They helped me pick an outfit for an event and were so so nice. Checking the back for different sizes, setting up dressing room, & answering all my questions. They kept me from having to trek all the way out to Huntsville mall!”

“No fun or exciting footwear choices for women. There’s lots of athletic wear in lots of colors, but nothing that coordinates with shoes and the coordinating clothing pieces weren’t placed near each other so it was impossible for me to find anything quickly. I left empty handed.”
“Competitive prices with what seems to be continually rotating BOGO sales for all the brands. Large selection of styles and size offerings. Super awesome croc charms and other shoe care stuff. Friendly people and decent rewards program.”
“I’ve been have some discomfort in my feet lately. I think wearing Hey Dudes almost exclusively for about 7-8 years now has taken a toll, so my boss Grant told me about Fleet Feet Huntsville. He mentioned they fit you for shoes, but I had NO IDEA just how thorough and detailed the process would be!
It was also FUN!
We were met at the door by Mark and Parker (Parker is in training but she’s certainly ready to do the thing solo!) who greeted us with smiles, asked a few questions, then whisked us off to the foot scanner. That’s right, they do 3D scans of your feet to see exactly how they’re shaped!
After that, I walked back and forth a few times across a step analyzer to see how my feet “land” when I walk, where the pressure “hot spots” are, and if I walk somewhat normally. Shockingly, I do walk normally for the most part, considering my weight.
After that, we spent a great deal of time analyzing the shape of my foot, the way I walk, and how to remedy the issues I’ve been having with pain in my feet. When I tell you these two were INSANELY thorough, diving deep into each data point and how that affects my day to day, and what factors in a shoe will help. We also discussed how getting my feet where they need to be, physically, is a process so we’d probably find a certain shoe today that’s perfect but in a few months, if they do their job, I will most likely need a different shoe to continue “shaping” my foot and my step.
After that deep dive, they brought out a few pairs of shoes at a time and had me try them on, take a walk around the store in them, then provide my feedback. There was no push toward any specific brand, just finding the right shoe that delivered exactly what MY feet need to feel better and to help my whole body - a lot of your posture and day to day pain is tied to your shoes and how supportive they are… or aren’t - feel better long-term.
We went through the first few pairs, with some feeling great and others not being quite perfect. Then came a few more, further dialed in to what I needed based on the analysis of my step and the feedback from the first round of try-ons.
These all felt solid, and probably would have been great, but they wanted me to try a couple more just to be sure we had the perfect fit - pardon the unavoidable cliche - for my feet.
I decided on a pair of minty fresh Mizuno shoes, with an insole designed to fit my foot to the shoe even better, since the liner that comes in most shoes is generic and not foot-specific (for obvious reasons).
I left wearing them and immediately could tell they were a great shoe for my feet and also far more educated about what my feet need, and how these shoes will provide a better day to day experience!
Through this whole process, Nicole and I laughed out loud at Mark and Parker, and vice versa! They were incredibly personable and you can tell they genuinely understand what the foot needs, and what it takes to deliver that! They didn’t show any favoritism toward a specific brand, they just wanted to help pair me with exactly what would offer the most comfort and benefit for me. I can’t overstate how amazing this process was and how excited I am to know this place is just a few miles from home!
The bottom line: the shoes, insoles and a nice pair of socks were all just a few dollars over $200. We were in the score close to 2 hours, but going forward will probably need less time to make adjustments. I am SURE you could find these shoes online for less, BUT that would rob you of the experience, which is WELL WORTH the cost of the shoes in my opinion. They also emphasized that they do sell some amazing insoles, if I wanted to keep wearing Hey Dudes, which I may purchase in the future but for now, I will be daily-driving these minty Mizunos!
Also, if you stop by and happen to get paired with Mark (Arias) or Parker (Tinnell), PLEASE tell them ”
