Had an awful experience here on 10/04 after reserving a vehicle and then they didn’t have one. This was the second Hertz I had been to that day and so I asked the rep to please confirm if any other locations had a minivan before traveling to a THIRD location despite a reservation. She was clearly annoyed and didn’t want to help in any way. I let her know it wasn’t her fault, but just didn’t want to waste anymore time and she got loud with me and told me “You’re not understanding. You need to go to Decatur!” Went down the road to Enterprise and they were kind and helpful despite not having a reservation made. I would recommend management evaluate who is operating their business prior to leaving them to work alone. Clearly customer service is not a requirement to work there.

WOULD GIVE NEGATIVE STAR IF ALLOWED.Place is poorly marked, looked like a ghost town, wasn't even sure if they were open when we pulled up. Walked in, completely empty with one employee. Hertz employee on 02 OCT, 23 was a woman who seemed totally annoyed that I was there and that I was ruining her day of doing next to nothing. Was in and out of there in less than 10 minutes, LOST A CUSTOMER, Went to Enterprise on 72 where everyone was professional, kind, and went out of their way to support.NEVER GOING BACK, GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR BUSINESS.

Worst customer service ever! Tracey was very rude and had a bad attitude. Over charged my credit card and when I went to confront them, they threw me out and told me to have a nice. Definitely will not be going back

Jared did a fabulous job trying to help get our vehicle situation taken care of. We had originally reserved a rental at the Decatur Hertz, and they oversold their inventory and couldn't guarantee our vehicle would be there in the morning. I had to cancel that reservation and then cross my fingers that Madison would help us. I called, spoke with Jared and he promised he'd have a vehicle for us in the morning. The vehicle that was returned (that we were supposed to have) had been smoked in and was gross, so Jared went to the airport to pick up another vehicle for us. He remembered we had small kids and didn't want us to be in a nasty vehicle. I was thankful for this attention to detail and enough care to do something about it and not take the "easy way" out of the situation. We had to extend the rental an additional day, and he took care of that for us as well.

The vehicle had a tire light on when I left unfortunately, I had a meeting I was late for and didn't turn around and return the vehicle immediately. Roadside told me to replace the tire and the airport location would reimburse me, however, that didn't happen. What did happen was I have been getting the runaround and asked to jump through firey hoops in order to get back the money I laid out. In addition, the GM at the Huntsville location promised he would call me back and never did and there is no way to get ahold of him. Thanks, James Fletcher!

Hands down the best rental experience I have ever had. Jared was FANTASTIC! I hate renting cars because the experience is always so stressful. I will 100% be returning to this location for all my rentals. Best experience ever!

Trash just trash customers service all have bad attitude. This company may be cheaper then the rest but you get less what you pay for.

I made a reservation through my insurance company after a car accident. I called the number, and no one answered. I physically went to the location WELL BEFORE closing time, and no one was there. I was able to talk to someone on the phone at a different location. He told me he would have a car for me in a few days, but he never called me back. I couldn't get a hold of him either.

Went to pick up my rental and they gave me a car with a dime size crack in the windshield. They said there is nothing they can do about it and they are not willing to do anything about it. . No other vehicle was available and no compensation for the road trip I am going to make having that in my field of view. Will never rent from them again.

When I arrived to pick up my rental, there were a few people waiting for 1 employee. Then when he finally got to me, he asks for an insurance declaration page; that no one carries with them or has immediate access to. I was finally able to get the form from my insurance company, so I ended up picking it up an hour late. I was going out of town, 10 hours away. When i Sked about extending the rental, I was told that i would i have to come back in person of i needed to extend it; or it would be reported stolen. I dont understand how i am supposed to come back to extend it if i am 10 hours away on vacation. So i made sure i got their car back on time. Also, I asked the attendant if I could change my payment credit card when I returned the vehicle. He said "yes". When I returned the vehicle, he said he couldn't change the card because the other card has a hold on it. He called someone to ask, then told me that they don't do that anymore because people give fake credit cards. BOTTOM LINE IS: I understand that there may be theft problems, etc. but don't treat me like I've come to steal your vehicle, when I have done everything that was asked and I am supposedly a Hertz Gold Plus Member. I have rented many cars from different rental companies and I have never been treated so much like a common criminal; trying to steal a rental car!

Worst customer service ever! Rude very rude gentleman caught an attitude asked to speak with a manager and have his name and he said have a good day bye and hung up. Called back and told me not to tell him how to do his job that I’m on speaker and his manager is listening. Cool may I speak with them. He called me to tell me that they didn’t have a car for my reservation. I asked if he could help me transfer it and keep the same rate as now cars are more expensive since the rental is 2 days away. He got really rude and refused to let me speak with a manager and told me he was uncomfortable giving me his name or managers name. This should have been a simple request instead I was hung up on 2x for a mistake on this location’s part. Called corporate and wrote a formal complaint on this poorly run business.
