Watched the cashier and another staff member yell at a guest because they mispriced an item and would not sell it for that price.
Prices are already high enough here and they make it clear they don’t want large sales
If they are a non profit they can not charge sales tax- charging sales tax indicates that they are for profit and the owners make money personally above their salary-you can choose to follow state tax laws or not
Very sad how this is a thrift store with a mission to take advantage verses serve others

Very OVERPRICED and honestly rude! This is a thrift store which things are given to them and the ladies that are pricing are not the nicest people. This use to be a great place to go find things but now it’s so over priced it’s sad. Not at all the experience you’d expect. Hands down one of the worst ones now.

Go elsewhere. This place has really declined lately. The new supervisors are charging retail prices for used items. When customers ask for a more reasonable price, they're met with a flat refusal and hostile attitude from the supervisor.

Store associate has very poor customer service and are extremely rude! I was in line there were 2 separate lines with 2 separate ladies at registers checking people out. The line I was in lady at the register checks out 4 people in line that were in front me. As soon as I put my stuff on the counter to be checked out, she told someone from the other line to come over to get check out looks at me like she did it on purpose. I was so disgusted I put that junk back and left.

Store associates have poor customer service skills. How is this a faith based community thrift store? The associates are rude as heck! The service reminded me why I stopped using this thrift store.

As a frequent visitor to Asbury Community Thrift Store, I appreciate their great selection and reasonable prices. However, some of the staff members are incredibly rude, which is disappointing. This is not something I witnessed in a one off situation, I’ve seen it over and over from the women there. It's surprising that a store run by a local church would have such unkind employees. Based on these experiences, I would hesitate to visit the church itself. Today, I had to explain to my 6-year-old that sometimes people are unkind for no reason.

This place used to be the best thrift store in town but now their prices are way too high. The store is just gross on the inside and some of the staff is just rude. The only good thing is they fixed the parking issue.

I have never been to a thrift store that has limits on what customers can buy. This one does. Limit 8 books. What? I believe they are in the business of selling things if I’m not mistaken. The bookshelves were overflowing and crammed so tight it was near impossible to browse through the books but customers can only get 8? . They let me get more than 8 books ‘this time’ because I wasn’t aware but they were not very nice about it. I won’t be going back. I will build my grandchildren’s library elsewhere.

Shoutout to Carla for being kind after Ginger was extremely judgmental and confrontational over me and my partners outward appearance. Laughing and sneering when we walked in with another customer and then attempted to get confrontational for absolutely no reason. This is supposed to be a CHRISTIAN RAN COMMUNITY STORE. One that I have been shopping at for over 20 years. I don't appreciate that type of mentality and I will be making sure she isn't readily available to make others feel the way we did today. Yall need to remember this community is full of many diffrent walks of life. And we all are the reason you've been do successful. I'd hate for people to get the idea that racism or prejudice actions are acceptable from you.

I called the store to check on a item I seen
Last Friday a book case oak was $ 100.00
I didn't have a way to pick up.
Asked if I could pay for it and set up for delivery for a extra $ 50.00 to $ 100.00 dollars. Was told that they didn't deliver to Hampton Cove, Owens Cross Roads.
I called back Monday morning to ask the lady that answered the pone if she could have a volunteer to check and see if it was still there so I could set up a pickup.
She was very rude and said she was 2 busy to get someone to look .
Just heads up .love the community's help and service that the church has a great program to help people find good used furniture, household items .
I was just shocked by her aitude. Was finally told to give her my name and phone number a guy would return my call .
3 hours later NO CALL
