My truck bumping when driving it so I took it to Max's to let them check it out. He asked if I could leave it with him so I said yes not knowing that he was going to keep it overnight. The next day when I went to pick it up he said that I needed all these front end parts replaced and that it would cost over a 1,000 dollars to fix it. I declined the repair and he says I owe him a 75.00 for checking it out! When I dropped it off he didn't say anything about a fee to check it out and there were no signs in the building saying anything about a diagnostic fee. I then took my truck to NTB in Huntsville and they said I had a broke belt in one of my tires and I just needed a new set. I put on a new set of tires and my truck has been driving fine ever since. Don't go to this place they will lie and rip you off!

Max is great with diesels. He replaced our Dodge 3500’s clutch. It started slipping under load due to a manufacturing defect. He was after the manufacturer right away, got us an even heavier duty clutch & got it all fixed up, no cost to us. when my honda’s wiper ripped off in the middle of a driving rain on a dusky highway, scaring the heck out of me as it left me blind, he fixed & explained the problem for only 20 bucks & it’s never happened again!

I would give less then one star if I could. He seemed like a very kind and down to earth person but he ripped me off and lied to me. I may not be a mechanic but I know that the replacement of a battery is not what causes a transmission to mess up. I had an employee come to me later and tell me everything that really happened. I would suggest that if you have other options take them please.

Got the Excursion back today after EGR cooler/undelete upgrade. Max Malone did a great job getting it all back together. If anyone is looking for a great mechanic Max is the guy.
