I had an alright experience, they helped me with some questions and told me where things were. So, I have no good nor bad things to say about it.

I have only written one yelp review ever, but I felt this visit deserved one.It has been a long time since I have seen such poor customer service and lack of basic manners. The employees decided to make the photo area the only check out while 3 of them sat chatting loudly/scrolling on phones behind the desk as the line substantially grew. When one girl was very politely asked by an older lady in front of me if there was another check out, she was given a side eye and disrespectful grunt of "uh huh" and continued to joke with coworkers. It was so rudely done that we were shaking our heads. Turns out that wasn't true because as I left, one of gentlemen who was a part of this group finally ambled over and opened one up after the line got so ridiculously long they couldn't ignore it (saw a lady put her things back and leave). The cashier was the only one doing anything resembling work; however, she sat there eating peach rings and digging the sticky remnants out of her teeth/gums all the while ignoring the customer. I understand we all have to eat and I am no germaphobe, but this was just gross. I had to take my bag, but it was a no thank you on the receipt. This used to be my local Walgreens. So glad it's not now. The employees are rude, unprofessional and lazy. Zero stars.

I wish I could give zero stars. This is the worst Walgreens I've ever used & unfortunately it's the closest one to my house. I've tried to use this location several times and every time I do I am reminded once again why I drive 15 minutes down the road to use a different one. My biggest and overall complaint that seems to happen time and time again is the lack of communication when they are out of a medication. Medication that I cannot go without for a day. When dropping off a prescription it should be part of the procedure to check and make sure the medication is there, especially when you tell the person it will be ready for pickup at whatever time. You would of course leave thinking they have the medication only to wait for two hours then in line for 20+ minutes to find out they do not have it. I am signed up for email and text notifications from Walgreens, this is the only location that does not utilize that. Again, I just came to Walgreens to pick up my medication I was told would be ready in 2 hours to find out that they are out of the medication. No one emailed or texted me nor did the lady let me know when I dropped the script off. This is at least the third time this has happened. The staff has never been very friendly & this is the only location I can say that about, all the other ones I've been to have been so nice.. this once makes you feel like an inconvenience. I know this post won't get far, but I hope it helps someone in the future to avoid going through what I have numerous times. I will drive the extra 15+ minutes from now on.

Walgreens... Where attacking domestic violence victims and their children is condoned from the leadership on down. Where store managers openly state that "there are no hungry people in america" and that the victim "is lieing". Attesting a struggling mother for taking trash out of the dumpster to feed her children. Then telling those calling you out on this behavior that its "being investigated." But all the while acting in bad faith each and every step of the way. Not returning calls as promised. Not taking the matter seriously. Thats the walgreens way. When domestic violence victims are openly harmed for speaking out that is what leads to less of them standing up. It is companies and people like this that create a culture where it is ok to attack the victim. Walgreens is directly responsible for their actions and policies that made this type of behavior ok.. I would encourage each of you that stand with domestic violence victims to speak up and let walgreens know this is never ok. Vote with your wallet... and #boycottwalgreens for revictimizing #domesticviolencesurvior

They need to be trained on customer service. Horrible service and have bad attitude. Need to learn common courtesy skills and treat people as customers. I will never go to this location again. I will be kind and stop at these comments. Good luck Walgreens Montclair!

This is the worst pharmacy. They never have enough staff, and the staff they do have is lazy and unprofessional. There should be no reason for you to have to wait 5 hours for one prescription and the response be it’s only 2 of us.

I filled a recent prescription here. The staff was not helpful and gave me 3 different prices for the medication in my 2 visits and 1 phone call. Also told me there was some inventory issue and I'd be notified when available. I was never called. When I received the medication it was the incorrect dose. I won't be returning.

Pharmacy is absolutely incompetent. I dont think I've ever had a single prescription go the way it's supposed to. The techs and sales associates are rude, I've been directly lied to multiple times. They don't have any consideration for the patient, making it abundantly clear they dont care about any of their patients. They will entirely ignore you for 5 minutes or more half the time, refusing to even acknowledge your presence. Not only do the pharmacy staff not seem to care, and regularly appear to have no idea what they're doing, the rest of the staff throughout the store doesnt seem to care in the least about anything. No consideration for your time whatsoever. Very few staff there seem to care. Also during the entire Corona situation, I have repeatedly seen pharmacy and occasionally store staff refuse to wear masks properly, despite serving vulnerable populations. They don't care about you, so don't care about them and take your business elsewhere. Been using them for months and they haven't changed a bit, so i don't expect them to. Currently working on transferring all my prescriptions elsewhere

I only came here to pick up a Sunday newspaper.... yes, you read that correctly! Got the newspaper paper and ended up also buying some paper towels. The paper towels were on sale already but the assistant manager , Charles also scanned an in store coupon at checkout. I really appreciated his going the extra mile. This really stood out to me and is reflective in the 4 star review of my experience. This store was really clean. The staff was nice and professional. This location is near a very busy intersection, so it's not ideal during busy times. Overall , decent Walgreens but perhaps not as up to date as some other locations.
