Sadly as much as I want to like this place, I can’t. Yesterday was my first (and last) time to visit TJ Nails. It’s a quaint shop and the staff were very friendly. However all I asked for was a regular pedicure. The girl didn’t seemed enthused at all and her apathy showed in her work. She told me to wait 5 minutes and my nails were dry enough to leave. She seemed like se wanted me to leave and there was only 1 other customer with another technician at noon. Within 30 months of leaving, a place on my big toe had chipped paint off. Additionally, I noted 3 toes with paint on skin at the edge of toenails. Very sloppy work. I had a commitment so I couldn’t get back to shop until 6:15pm. Although their hours were posted that they close at 7, they had already closed.
To make it all worse, they charged $6 more than my usual shop does for regular pedicure! I didn’t ask the price beforehand, assuming it may be a dollar more or less than I’m accustomed to paying. I won’t make that mistake again.
Stylist: She was personable and nice. But after closure inspection of my toes after leaving I am not happy with her work.

I got a dip manicure here 3 weeks ago, came back yesterday to get them removed and there was fungus under all of my nails. The owner tried to tell me to just cover it with more polish and became angry with me when I told her I was going to the doctor and didn’t want anything else on my nails. I have a dermatologist appointment tomorrow. My research is showing me that this happened because they did not do my nails correctly and allowed moisture to get underneath. I share this story so that it doesn’t happen to anyone else - don’t go here.

Pretty good service, I’d recommend. Just needs some updates and I’m not a fan of the cleanliness, between the store itself and the utensils used in between clients. You’ll notice some fruit flies too. But all the women there are very friendly!

I've been going here for years. It's always been fun and I've been happy with the results. I have problems with in grown toe nails and they generally see to that. The last two times, they charged me $52 instead of $48. This time I asked why. They said they charge men extra. I was surprised. The price sheet doesn't mention this.
Also, I felt that I got a very poor massage both times. Today, my tech spent 10 minutes during my pedicure addressing a problem that another woman was having with hers. She had come back after leaving to have it addressed.
I've used this place because they are close and easy to get appointments with, but $52 plus tip for 25 minutes feels like too much.

Very dissatisfied!!The technician globbed the base coat solution, on my skin also. She globbed the dip powder on my nails. They are so thick and tacky looking. She left powder under my nails so the solution was caked under my nails as well The owner came in and tried to make them look better by filing under my nails but it's still super thick. I also had a pedicure. I sat to wait for them to dry. They touched the polish and said I was good to go. The polish came off on the inside of my shoes. What a waste of my money.

I've been here a couple times before, always with mediocre results. This time was the worse! Before saying why, I will go talk to them about my issues. And yes, I did still give a good tip. After all, the man's time deserves to be acknowledged. The lengths of my nails are not even, the solution is missing in some spots but thick in others and he did a poor job with the shaping.The pedicure looks no better than when I went in. He didn't even file the nails after cutting them, and the clear polish is missing in some spots. I felt like he was in a hurry to begin with, then he vanished the moment he felt he was finished. I highly recommend going to get a manicure for pedicure here!! The owner has a tue best!! Extremely experienced and personable!! They do a perfect job!! Make sure to call and make an appointment and tell them Stephanie and Emly you! ??
