I had Spartan Transmission rebuild my transmission after a catastrophic failure in my 2007 Toyota RAV4 with 150,000 moles on it. First, Steve treated me like a stupid female who couldn't possibly know what was wrong with her car. He then kept my car for 4 weeks while he unsuccessfully attempted to rebuild the transmission. It never shifted properly after I spent almost $5000 for the repair, and after only 3 months (I only drive 1 day a week) It had another catastrophic transmission failure. This time I took it to a local Toyota dealer, who replaced the faulty parts for an additional $6000. The car has driven perfectly since I picked it up from Toyota. Steve at Spartan has ghosted me ever since I told him his rebuild failed. He has taken no responsibility for his transmission failure, nor even offered me money back. Stear clear of Spartan Transmissions!

Steve rebuilt my blown transmission at an honest price for all the time he put into it. He wouldn't release the car back to me until he was sure it was working properly, and I really appreciate that! He also sent a tow truck to pick it up at my home. I highly recommend Spartan Transmission!

The employee who answered was rude and unhelpful was told he wasnt taken in anything right now with no time frame as for when he could if he doesnt care for your money then he doesn't care about your ride.

I should've seen Steve at Spartan Transmission in the first place! He fixed my transmission when another shop and a few jack-legged "mechanics" just ripped me off with a junkyard trans and their fingers crossed. If and when you see Steve for repairs, just be quiet and listen - he's not there to be friendly BUT HE DOES GOOD WORK.Service: Transmission

During hot rod power tour '22 2nd gear became an extra neutral. We pulled over and started assessing the situation and noticed that we had broken down in front of a transmission shop. We spent the next 2 days working with Mr Steve. He was able to track down parts, get them overnighted, and had us back on the road the next day. He's not going to tell you want you want to hear but he is going tell you the truth and he expects the same in return. I highly recommend Spartan transmission.

Called to ask for a price on replacing a torque converter. Got hung up on immediately. Thought the call got disconnected and tried calling back but got sent straight to voicemail saying if your calling for a price you better hang up before your feelings are hurt. Not sure how this guy is still in business. Seems like he only wants customers that have no clue about vehicles so he can charge an arm and a leg. I have never been hung up on when getting a price for a vehicle repair.

Steve is very to the point and matter of fact, but he will get the job done for you. He went out of his way for me while I was on assignment out of state and needed my car fixed fast so I could continue working. I had no more trouble and made it safely back to Texas without any delays. He knows what he is doing,ya'll.
