I was very disappointed in my experience at this dealership. I plan on selling my car in a few months and was interested in an IS500. One was on the showroom floor, and I asked a sales representative if test driving it was possible. He said “no, we don’t allow test drives in these. People that buy these cars don’t want any miles on them.” I then asked if they ever get pre owned RC-Fs or IS500s in. The sales rep simply said “No. This new one is the first one I’ve seen”. He walked away shortly after that. There was no “Let me take down your information and will let you know if one comes in”, no “let me talk to my manager and see if we can make an exception”, and no “there is an LC500 out front that you could drive that is similar”.
I’m not sure if it was because I was in gym shorts, a tee shirt, and flip flops, but I felt like the sales rep was dismissive from the moment he saw me. Perhaps it was because I was asking to drive a performance car (interestingly, I had absolutely no trouble getting a test drive in a Shelby GT350 at Woody Anderson Ford). Maybe I’m misinterpreting things, but I did not enjoy my experience this dealership and will be taking my money elsewhere.
