I have been a patient of Dr. Conway since I was a child. I am 30 years old now and I'm still a patient. It looks like after reading the comments that if I had any other doctor at FMofH that I would no longer be a patient. Conway 4 life!

I've been a patient of DR. Conway 20 years. Very understanding and good DR. When she can't see me I go to Bethany Barnett and she treats me great. Love her attitude.

The Worst FQHC I've ever had the mis-pleasure of entering. Staff has no compassion, offered zero counsel during an emotionally difficult time and does not even honor their own patient bill of rights!

I was just kicked out of their practice after being a patient for 30 years. Why, because I refused to have blood work done every 3 months for non life threatening medications. I had called several times to have my prescriptions refilled, and they didn't do it. I was finally told on my 3rd call, that I need to come in for blood work. I said I would not. They refilled it for one month and I just received a letter in the mail telling me I had been kicked out and to come pick up my medical files. TERRIBLE PATIENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

I have been going to Family Medicine of Huntsville since about 2000 and Dr. Bramm was my doctor. I think it goes without saying Dr. Bramm is and was an amazing physician and though I was sad to see him retire I was happy for him. Subsequent to that Dr. Ashley Weil took on his patients and there were a few hiccups there that I am convinced now was misunderstandings between myself, the admin staff, and Dr Weil as my father, mother and niece had also been seen by Dr. Bramm and then it seemed all of a sudden I was told Dr Weil was not accepting new patients. It took me a bit to get that straight but we finally did and Dr. Weil saw my mom and niece and the administrative functions got straightened out. Then shortly after that Dr. Weil left Family Medicine of Huntsville and those of us who were patients of Bramm and then Dr. Weil were without an assigned doctor. I cannot speak for anyone else but I received good care in that transition time and never was treated less than even though I did not have a primary care physician assigned. A year later they hired Dr Sally Ha Chu as my primary care physician. I did not know how to read her at first because of course I had not had any long term doctor there but Dr. Bramm and then once I became comfortable with Dr. Weil she left. So there was a “warm up” period I think where I was looking to see how she would regard me and my case history. I have read a lot of reviews comparing her to Dr Bramm. That is not fair at all. Dr. Chu brings to the table different experience than the experience Dr. Bramm brought. They are two separate people with different personalities and opinions but both qualified medical professionals. I can speak from personal experience that the same level of quality care I received from Dr. Bramm I have also received from Dr. Chu. It was not the SAME STYLE maybe in delivery of the care but it was quality care. I have had a couple of health scares in the past year and she was very thorough with diagnosis, treatment and follow up. She also diagnosed me early on in the first couple of visits as being very low in Vitamin D and kept track of that and prescribed weekly high doses to get me back up in good range and took the time to explain to me the fact daily calcium intake only had enough Vitamin D to really help with absorption of the calcium in the pill but that I could not get enough vitamin D from calcium pills if I was so low. I am grateful for her diligence in this type of preventive care especially since reading studies the majority of people who experienced severe effects and hospitalized for covid were found to be depleted in Vitamin D. She has never once written me off when I have had questions or concerns about a health matter, diagnosis method or medication. She has always taken the time to answer my questions and when prescribing meds for illness the office had always followed up. I think going in Dr Chu knew she was filling some large shoes of Dr Bramm plus having to ease the concerns of his patience who had been without a primary care physician for over a year when his last replacement left for another practice. This had to be a pretty unique situation for her to step into knowing the patients she was taking on. I just want to say I understand the inclination to want to compare to Dr. Bramm or the Family Med Clinic of yesterday but this is a new time and new unique set of circumstances especially given all the weirdness surrounding the virus that shan't be named. I believe if people just open their minds a bit and start to appreciate the experience Dr Chu brings to the table as a medical professional versus comparing her to another physician (who made the choice to retire and take on new endeavors) there will be a good benefit of a solid Dr/patient relationship.

I am currently searching for a new PCP. I called to make an appointment, and when I received a call back they said that they had 2 doctors that were accepting new patients, and they would give me another call back when they worked that out. Received a call 4 days later and was told that they aren't accepting new patients. So, I stated that I was told they were. The lady said no they aren't. So, I then said, "What you mean is that you won't accept me as a new patient." She said Yes. I asked why, and she didn't know. Don't even bother going to this place they are rude and very unprofessional. Check out the other reviews and see for yourself.

I would advise people to avoid this clinic. The service, treatment and policies, from start to finish it has all been an astonishingly bad experience. I should have looked at the reviews first.

This place was wonderful until Dr. Bramm retired. My replacement doctor is not friendly and seems to have minimal knowledge of my health conditions. She is mostly concerned with my weight at every visit (I’m 5’5” 169 pounds.) I prefer seeing Bethany, the CRNP. The tech that comes in the room is super nice though.

I had been going to this office since high school seeing Dr. Bramm. Unfortunately, when he retired the office went downhill. Dr. Chu is not personable or friendly. I hadn’t intended to post a review at all until my new doctor requested medical records and FM of Huntsville called to let me know there would be a charge for my records since they were technically “their property”.Each time I was calling to schedule my “physical exam” they were apparently just scheduling “wellness exams” which they claim are done that way due to insurance. I don’t need a doctor who bases care off of insurance… I need a doctor who bases care off of individual needs. The last time I was sick and I called to schedule an appointment I was told Dr. Chu would have to review my request to see if I could be scheduled for a sick appointment. I told them not to bother at that point.I am thankful to have found a doctor who listened to me and did a PHYSICAL exam along with ordering full labs to find out I had a rare autoimmune disorder that now requires me to see a specialist regularly.I have received better care from a walk in doctors office than what I have received since Dr. Chu took over.

Terrible staff and doctors let them run roughshod over patients. Needed a referral for a colonoscopy and after getting no response after multiple requests, they scheduled the colonoscopy without even bothering to ask if I was available (I wasn't). Sad that the staff turns everyone off.

If I reviewed this two or three years ago, I would have given this place 5 stars without a doubt. I had been going to this office for going on 20 years. I moved overseas, but I would always make a visit when I was back in Huntsville . I used to have US insurance and get my prescriptions renewed. They were great until Dr. Bramm left. His replacement Ashley was also nice, but something didn't work out and now Dr.Chu is the replacement doctor. I was in the US for a longer time last year visiting because of Covid and needed to see a doctor. I was not able to meet Dr. Chu yet because they told me I had to register as a new patient and she refused to write me prescriptions for my life saving medication that I had taken for years or even look at my file. It's hurtful as I really valued this practice. I'm lucky I now live in a country with affordable healthcare and get the careI need, but I really feel bad for the hundreds of patients that have been handed this kind of treatment.

I was a patient of Dr. Bramm for 16 years. I moved out of state for five years and I’m moving back to Huntsville. I called to schedule and I was told that I would be considered a new patient and that they would have to see if I could be accepted. Dr. Chu took after Dr.Bramm. When I was called back I was told that I will not be accepted to come back in the practice. I asked why and they told me they are not at liberty to tell me. I’m very upset with them. I was a loyal patient and wanted to become a loyal patient again and I was told no. This is ridiculous. I am a Huntsville native and because of my 16 year history, I should have been accepted back. I see that their reviews are poor and I understand why now.
