This was my third time getting tires from Costco in Huntsville. Once again, very easy process and great service.
Anthony was outstanding. He answered all my questions initially. Actually gave me a call over the weekend to see if I wanted to come in earlier. Super nice dude.
All you have to do each time is order your tires online. You will get notices when they ship and arrive. Once they are in, then simply go online and schedule an install appointment. I normally do 10am during the week. I arrive at 945am and wait at the door until they open.
I was in there less than an hour the other day. I can always shop in the store and kill an hour easy. They called me on my phone when my vehicle was ready and Anthony pulled it around for me.
All around very good easy experience once again.

I tried calling in multiple times to the tire center, no answer on the phone, on hold for many, many minutes waiting for an answer. I then tried switching over to the management line, and when they answered said “don’t switch me over to a dead line, the tire center is not answering, you need to send someone over to the department to answer the phone.”
They said they wouldn’t, they would call them on the radio and have someone answer, and they transferred me again. Someone picked up, immediately placed me on hold, left me there for five minutes and hung up.
I called back to management and told them not to do that again. That I needed someone to go to the department and physically manage the line to handle a call as I was trying to buy two trucks worth of tires and have them installed. I had all the information and the payment to give them and I just needed someone to take my money and schedule the appointment.
They gave me Jake’s name and said he would take the call when they transferred me. Jake actually took the call (after a half hour trying to get through, but not his fault and kudos for actually figuring out how to manage answering a phone).
We agreed on an appointment time, but then Jake figured out I was wanting to buy tires instead of only make an appointment, and he was stumped. They had the tires but they couldn’t sell them to me over the phone. I have Costcos choice of payment method (whatever you like!) you have the tires, can I buy them? NO. Can I reserve the tires and pay in cash on installation? NO. Can I set up an appointment for installation and show up a half hour early and pay in cash? NO. Check card, cash, bank transfer, whatever. NO.
Is there anyway I can buy the tires I know you have in inventory with any kind of payment right now and set up an appointment to have them installed? NO.
About an hour of my time wasted.
As I said to their management, you have tires, I have money, I’ve been a member for about a decade, I’m trying my hardest to give you money for goods you have in stock, and you can’t figure out how to take my money. PROFOUNDLY STUPID MANAGEMENT.
Some companies, who can’t figure out how to take money being shoved at them, are too dumb to exist.
I’m sure this is a middle to lower management problem (maybe it goes to the top, but who knows, clearly not COSTCO). The responsible managers should be immediately fired and put on the street.
Run the scenario up and down the hierarchy, figure out who is crippling the system, and fire them with prejudice. The higher the manager that is mandating or enabling this dysfunction, the better! They should not be employed. The sooner you get rid of them the better, and the higher the responsible party is, the better the long term outcome for the company will be when they are severed.
A complete dysfunctional “show.”

I'm dropping stars from my previous review. Even though I still love Costco in general, I've had less than favorable experiences the past several times I've been in for tire services. I'm in the warehouse shopping several times per week and I'm in the tire center every few months or so for tire services or battery for my vehicles. A couple days ago I came in for scheduled rotate and balance. I waited almost 2 hours for the phone call to let me know it was ready. Finally I decided to walk out to tire center to check and sure enough, the guy said it had been ready over an hour. We confirmed my phone number before and after. I've had the same number for 2 decades. They just didn't call me. Same thing on my previous tire appointment. No one called me and I was sitting inside tire center waiting when they brought the keys up and put them in cabinet. I sat and waited 30 minutes and nothing. I approached someone about my car then, too. They said someone should've called me. Finally, on another previous service, the large built, reddish bearded guy who's worked there quite a while was not friendly and answered rudely when I had a question about the service. He actually didn't give me an answer, he just made a rude remark, shook his head and walked away. As much time and money that I give toward being a member, I hope someone can make sure changes are made to the tire center protocol and customer service issues.

Bad service, they wasted my time, couldn't honor warranty.
I had already bought a set of tires with Road Hazard Protection, and one was punctured.
When I brought it in to be fixed, after two hours they said they couldn't get the lug nuts off because they were "swollen," in spite of the fact that I had just had all four rotated at a different service center the same day.
I bought new lug nuts like they wanted, then called the next day. They didn't have the tire in stock, but wanted me to come in again to have it inspected AGAIN less than 24 hours after they had inspected it the first time, and would not order the replacement tire until I had a second inspection.
They expected me to come in a total of three times to get the tire replaced under warranty. The hassle was not worth the small amount that the warranty covered. I ended up buying a new tire somewhere else because they were so difficult.

Young man answered the phone before they had even opened, booked my appointment, and was super nice. Day of appointment, in and out in less than an hour. Great service.

Don’t buy tires at this Costco. First off website for making appointments for installations is buggy and stays crashing. Drove from Athens to drop off my truck to get tires installed. Was told that they would call me when ready. Called a short while later saying that my lug nuts were swollen and that I would need new lug nuts before they could install them. I understood the guy I talked to say to bring in new lug nuts and they would install them, but I showed up with new lug nuts and guy up front said they couldn’t install them, I would have to install the new lug nuts first and then they would install the the tires. What sense does that make. Save yourself some time and headaches and spend a couple bucks more and go to a legit tire shop.

Let me start off my saying that I am one of the most easy-going people and get along with everyone. I have never been so mad after I left an establishment in my life.I bought 4 Michelin tires for my Infiniti QX80 back in like May or June of this year, from Costco with all the of warranty stuff. That vehicle is my weekend car so I do not drive it near as much as my weekday vehicle. Saturday of this last week I ran over something and when I got home I noticed that I could hear air coming out of my tire and by Sunday morning it was flat. My husband took it off and we brought it to the tire center after Church on Sunday to get repaired. The nice gentleman told me that it would probably be the next day before they could get to it, which I said was perfectly fine and to just let me know when they were done with it.Monday, while at work, I had not heard from anyone by about 2pm so I decided to call and check on it, as I could leave work and go pick it up around 3. The gentleman told me that “oh yes, it is fixed and all you need to do is come in and sign some paperwork and you will be set”. I left work and got to Costco around 3:15 or so.When I walked in the tire center, there was no one in there except another customer waiting that had not been helped yet. Another gentleman walked in after me and all three of us waited for quite a while before someone came to the front, which was no big deal really, but there should always be someone up there to at least greet customers and assist them. Once the employee came up there, he assisted the lady in front of me and never thanked her, smiled, or anything. I say this to say that he is not a pleasant person to “greet” or “assist” customers directly.I walked up after she was done and his comment to me was “what do you need”….. I told him that I was there to pick up my tire for my Infiniti QX80 that was dropped off the day before. He looked up at me and said “well I am going to have to go in the back and get your paperwork” and turns and walks off. He comes back a few minutes later and does something on the computer and blurts out “that will be $79 and you can run your card down here now”…… I, very confused said why am I paying for it if it is under warranty… He responds with “well ma’am, we do not give out free tires.” I again, very confused said why am I paying $79 for a tire repair when I have a warranty on it… (I was never told that they had to replace the tire). So he rudely tells me that they had to replace the tire. My comment to that was ok, first off I was not told that or called to inform me of that before they did it. I paid the $79 dollars at this time. He then pulls out a piece of paper and holds it up and says “every time you bring your car in here to be serviced you get handed this piece of paper that clearly explains our process of the warranty on the tires” and then looks at me and says “If you need help reading it, I can read it to you.”At this point I am furious, as I have never been talked to like that in my entire life. I have 3 college degrees and right now manage 3 different therapy clinics here in Huntsville. I also was wearing scrubs so it is clear that I at least have a job and obviously can read…I, not so kindly told him to give me my damn ticket. He states that another person has to come up to put the key in the machine to print the receipt on the ticket. I again tried to explain that I did not have a problem paying for the tire but I was not told that there was going to be another tire put on my rim instead of it getting repaired. He then states “well I can just tell them to put the old tire back on it then”. Now mind you, I have already paid for it and asked for my ticket. I did not comment after that and he slid my ticket across the counter and I walked out.

Customer service is iffy at times but I'm always up for a Costco trip. Other times customer service is amazing. Food handlers giving samples aren't always the friendliest but I'm still going to overlook that, lol.

Went to buy new tires ordered them, they called my spouse to say they had arrived the next day even though they were for my car and I had given them my number and information. So I called for the next several days in a row for several times to make appointment no answer. The one day someone answered I waited on hold for over 10 min until I had to get off the phone. I ended up driving there to make the appointment. The man who checked me in had the warmth of a store mannequin. For the third time of the situation I gave them my car information my name and phone number. When it was ready a few hours later they called my spouse to say my car was finished even though I'd given the same man my number as it's my vehicle and I paid ect. I get to the desk and he said " We called you??" Then he tells me to go to the bay to get my keys because he doesn't have them. They left my TPA sensor on,there was black stuff all over my rims and white crisco looking grease on my 1 thousand plus dollar tires that wouldn't come off until I professionally washed my car twice. They didn't put the rotate schedule sticker on my car and placed the sensors upfront and center in view as they were hidden before.. No thanks have a good day sorry about that ect.

Please save yourself the trouble and upsets you will definitely have if you deal with this tire center! Please go elsewhere! So rude and unprofessional! They lie! I mean flat out blatantly lie to your face… it’s appalling! The little bit of money you may save is not worth the trouble you will inevitably encounter with these guys! Just trying to save even one person the amount of money, time, and frustration I have dealt with. Seriously, it’s not worth it.
