I donated blood here and I was treated poorly. I had acne on my arm and the person asked, "what is that?" Tactless. On another occasion I was met with a locked door during hours listed on their website and Google that they should be open. I've read other reviews on here.... I have to get blood taken in order to maintain my health. If I run into the kind of situations that I've read about someone is going to get an ear full.i won't be donating money to this organization and I regret having to give them my blood.

Attempted to give blood on 10/6/23. After signing in, two staff members began arguing with each other in front of the other donors about getting a bed ready. A computer system had gone down and they were having difficulty processing donors. During my interview, a staff member called out of the room repeatedly for the other staff member to get to the bed ready. The initial staff member began to lose her temper and said she had enough and was ready to walk out and go home. This felt like a very unprofessional environment and I didn’t feel comfortable letting an irritated person put a needle in my arm. I asked to reschedule and come back another time. One staff member apologized for all the inconvenience while the seemed to taunt me and say “oh don’t worry about him, he won’t be back. He ain’t coming back.”I won’t be returning.

Great place to give blood. Way more comfortable than a actual bus

My husband and I came to donate blood today. We were greeted by a staff member that was very rude and didn’t seem to have time to “deal” with us. There were no other donors here yet she seemed so stressed going on and on about being on hold. How do you expect to have continuous donors when you greet them with this attitude?

The person I had was extremely nice and explained the process. I have donated blood and platelets many times and usually the workers ard great. But I did see a woman there that was quite rude and way too busy talking to other workers to attend to people donating the last time I donated. At the time I was donating platelets. I am glad that I didn't get her this time.

Didn't seem desperate. The e-mail I am getting (urgent!) and the stuff there are not in the same page. Maybe we didn't have to go...

I have been to this facility in the past to donate blood and things went smoothly. My husband and I made appointments to donate blood on Memorial Day 2022. We were rudely met at the door after ringing the bell and waiting and waiting then ringing it again. We were told by this old woman that. Was rude to us to sign in and she walked off. We were having trouble with the sign in system and instead of coming over to assist us she was busy laughing and joking around with the other nurse and some man. Finally the other nurse walked over to help. We were told to come on back to do the work up. The older nurse’s attitude continued being rude and demeaning to myself and my husband. My husband and I both ended up walking out without donating. Funny how the Red Cross always advertises an urgent need for blood donors and constantly calling me to donate and then you take the time to “volunteer” to help them with their needs and you are treated rudely and disrespectfully. My husband and I will not be returning. No wonder they have an urgent need no one wants to be disrespected when they volunteer to help and are treated rudely.
