We have been hounded by five or six "authorized dealers" showing up and knocking on our front door repeatedly over the last couple weeks. We have told all of them and they can see from the outside that another company services our home. It has basically become harassment at this point. I have tried to contact someone to make it stop and it has done nothing. Based on the other reviews I would never be getting their service anyways.

These people. Sold me a service that I pay a fee monthly for. Sold me equipment that stopped working a few short months after installation. Then want me to pay a fee for a technician to come out and fix faulty equipment they sold to me. What a joke! I will be switching services at the end of my contract for sure. And will suggest to anyone they do not enter a contract with Safe Haven Security. And furthermore will be contacting ADT to inform them what a clown company they are in business with.

Bought a new home, fell for the door to door salesman that was selling ADT thru SafeHaven Security. Paid for all equipment at installation (way overpriced). The contract makes you a slave to SafeHaven for the first year and to ADT for two years following. Just short of the first year I called SafeHaven to get a quote for new window sensors, standard version not the shock sensors. SafeHaven wanted $150/ea for the same sensors Amazon has for $50. Waited till the first year ended and called ADT. ADT wanted $75/ea. Then I decided to buy on Amazon and do it myself. Turns out SafeHaven changes the default Dealer and Installer code on your panel, doesn't provide the new code at installation, and refuses to give it to you afterwards. I called ADT who said they do not have the codes. WTF? So now I have an overpriced security system that I can't make any changes to! Do yourself a favor and go with a DIY system!Update: Sent an email to the address ADT Customer service posted. Was told the same thing again, since I purchased the system from SafeHaven I would have to get the codes from them, which SafeHaven said they WILL NOT provide. I truly hope this review saves at least a few people from making the mistake I made of getting a security system from SafeHaven and ADT!

The equipment is way to much money. I didn’t realize that there were so many services that offer the exact same the stuff (sometimes more) for a third of the cost. Also, when their equipment breaks, to no fault of yours, you have to pay to get it fixed. My controls board overheated and fried, and I have to pay someone to fix it. So either I pay for something and can’t use it or pay them to fix their equipment that apparently was faulty. I will say this save yourself the trouble and go with someone else. Once my contract with them is up I will be.

ADT installed cameras on 10/12/2022. On 10/14/2022, I called to have the services cancelled. I have gotten the run around since then with no resolution. I keep getting bounced between ADT and ADT-Safe Haven. The ADT technician who installed my services on 10/12/2022 was great, but the representative who set up my service contract did not let me know about certain charges that I would have, nor are those charges listed in my signed contract.

Lorenzo harshaw is the real deal. No gimmicks. No salesmanship. Just treated me like family. Gave me his cell number too. Looking forward to having that covering of knowing my home is protected. Not just through video surveillance- but with an answering service that will direct police and fire when needed !!

ADT is a complete waste of money. We have paid for equipment that hasn't worked for over a year now. No way to get in touch with anyone for support or cancellation options. 100% would recommend going with another security company that actually cares about their customers.

ADT keeps bugging me, no matter how many times I tell them I'm not interested. Today, a WEEK DAY, during LUNCH, they sent someone over and said "Did they not tell you we were coming by?" Even though every time they call or email I tell them I'm not interested. Dude stood on my porch and kept saying "well the warranty is void so if you turn on the security system, it'll cost you $3k." GOOD. Just another reason for me to never turn it on. Just because I bought a house that came with a system doesn't give you the right to constantly pester me. Your sales tactics are awful and seem designed to wear down homeowners until they say yes just to get them to go away.

I wish there was a way to give zero stars for this company. This has been by far the most unresponsive, unreliable, most unprofessional business I have dealt with in a long time. From day one of the install when we purchased our house it was the worst install ever, leaving a big gaping hole in our wall that despite multiple calls was never taken care of. I finally patched and repaired and painted the wall myself. Now, after my three year contract is finally up and I have canceled service, I'm being charged for 30 days of service past cancellation date despite being told by the representative that I spoke to on the day that I canceled that I would incur no further billing or charges beyond that date. So, after another nearly $100 in charges five days later when I called in to speak to someone about it I spent over an hour on chat and phone trying to talk to representatives who, first of all, would not let me speak to a supervisor directly. And they absolutely would not back down from the charges whatsoever, even though it was their mistake due to bad info from the rep I originally spoke with at time of cancellation. I was never allowed to speak with a supervisor. I absolutely do not recommend this company and their statement that they value their customers above all is a joke.

June 10th, 2022, An ADT representative/ technician arrived at my property to view inoperable cameras. All 3 cameras have not worked for almost a year. Sound and Wi-Fi is not optimal with these cameras. One of which is a safety hazard and has bare wires exposed that I attempted to put tape around. I was told I needed an extender because none of the AT&T routers work with ADT. If I don't do that then I must PURCHASE some sort of Google extender which would cost me $411. I've been told I need to pay for cameras that do not work and one of which is not to safety code and is a fire hazard according to their technician ( Which I have recorded with my indoor camera, purchased from Amazon). I took time off from teaching to accommodate ADT's appt. Their lack of customer service is deplorable and the fact that they will not release me from my contract without penalizing me for over $3000 in contract equipment fees is absolutely criminal and fraudulent. Do not seek ADT for your home security. I had BRINKS, which was bought out by ADT, so I've had security for over 20 years. So VERY disappointed that now I need to take legal action against them. Currently until my lawyer completes the task at hand, I am stuck with cameras that do not work. If I could give 0 stars I would.

I had adt 7 years & the last year was the most awful experience ever. I called them 3 months trying to get my bill corrected to only keep getting transferred & told it was fixed for it not to be. Not to mention my bank account was charged 3 different termination fees on mistake & im still in the process of waiting for account to be fixed. I can’t wait til it is refunded & I can disconnect. I feel like I work for adt calling for months straight, being on the phone hours. It has played on my mental, tampered with my finances & life. I wanna sue it’s so awful.
