I scheduled an eye appointment for 9:30 am. the doctor came an hour late and saw the 10:30 slot. she skipped me in the line for an individual that just arrived. Worst eye care experience I have ever had.

I don't frequent Walmart often at all and that is very intentional on my part. My recent experience at this one definitely reaffirms my reasoning for avoiding this retailer. I ended up placing a pick up order for a tv from this location. I checked in at least 15 minutes before I parked in a spot to give them ample time to pull my order. Their competitor usually brings out my pickup orders within 5 minutes. It may take 10 if it's a bit busier. Well, at Walmart I waited 30 minutes for my one item to be brought out. What was the point of checking in when I was on my way if I was going to have to wait half an hour? The pickup service is supposed to be quick and convenient. Yeah, it will probably be at least another 3 or 4 months before I shop from any Walmart again.

The Auto Center at the WM on HWY 280 at 35242 is the absolute worst ever. The Manager as I understand it, has had some serious health concerns. He's not there on most days. When he's out, nobody is in charge and whomever is there looks for ways out of work rather than accomplishing anything at all. I use to go to this location for oil changes and had descent luck. Not lately. I had an oil change on my vehicle and they stripped the oil pan threads and I had to take it to another repair shop for corrective action. Thankfully WM paid the bill to a tune of about $500 for a new oil pan. Recently, I decided to give them another chance. I drove my vehicle in for an oil change and was promptly advised that they are not doing oil changes at this time due to a shortage of trained technicians. About a month later I went back with a different vehicle. No vehicles were in any of the bays. Was told the crew was going to lunch -- come back in an hour. The tech writer was basically a joke and was once a decent technician but all he does now is write up the orders. Also, you can rarely get anyone to run the cash register in Auto. WM needs to seriously consider shutting down this Auto Service. It's the absolute worst excuse I've ever seen for any Auto repair. Sam Walton would be embarrassed at this clown show.

So I've been standing here waiting to pay for my prescription for 15 minutes as they struggle to help the ONE WHOLE PERSON in front of me. I transferred my prescription here bc it is cheaper for generics. No reason I should pay $4O For 2 $4 meds. Wait. Yes there IS a reason. Multiple reasons. At my other pharmacy, I pay extra for the convenience. For not making me wait now up to 20 minutes for an rx that I called in 4 days ago that is ALREADY READY AND RIGHT BEHIND YOU DUDE! HOW MANY PEOPLE DOES IT TAKE TO EPICALLY FAIL with one whole customer?!!! Then I had to stand there for even LONGER just to wait to be forgotten so they can "educate" me on a pill I've been taking since I was 3 days old. ABSOLUTELY NEVER using this pharmacy again.

Beware! This Walmart closes early! Employees get stressed out trying to tell customers they cannot enter the store 10 minutes before closing time and then managers stand near the door and try to push you back out to the door. They're supposed to stay open until 11. If you close at 10:45, then change your signs to reflect that. I won't be back to this Walmart. Very rude managers.

I'm getting very annoyed with the Pharmacy. The people there are very friendly, but I never know when my prescription will be ready. It's a very common medication that almost every location has in stock. They always tell me, "wait until you get the email telling you it's ready". Well, half the time I never get an email and wait 4+ days , just to randomly go and they say it's been ready 2+ days. Sometimes I get the email, and it's not ready. Sometimes they've just finished filling it. It's not easy when the hours keep changing, you work full time with a commute, and have a lot of other things going on. This isn't a recent development either; it's been a year. I almost just want to switch back to Walgreens and pay more so that I can avoid this nonsense.

I needed new tires. The Walmart closest to my house didn't have the tire size I needed. The Hoover 280 store is bigger so I decided to try there. I went to auto center and girl at register said they had the size but it would be about two hours before they could get to my car. Well no problem it's busy. So I wait the two plus hours only to have one of the guys that works in the shop tell me that they do not, in fact have the size I need. Plus, my car was missing a lug nut. Because of that they weren't allowed to remove that tire. Guess who was the last place to remove that tire? That's right, Walmart! So I ended up having to go to another place. It's more expensive but at least they'll do the job. Just avoid Walmart now if you can. It has become pretty much trash. They'll never touch my car again.

The older Indian gentleman that is a door greeter is very rude & I believe him to be racist. I go to Walmart around the same time at least 2 times a week. He NEVER speaks. All of the other door greeters do. A few times, I've loudly and politely said hello how are you. In hopes that maybe he speaks and maybe we just cannot hear each other over the masks. But no, he NEVER speaks. One time, I pulled my cart to the side to wipe it with sanitizer before fully entering the store. I watched and listened to him speak to everyone that entered (everyone happened to be Caucasian). When I finally walked through the door, instead of speaking, he quickly turned his back to me. I'm not sure if it's because of my skin color, or what. But it's very disheartening that he's so rude. I am a young African American nurse and have come in wearing my scrubs plenty of times. I'm not saying I expect to be treated a certain way based on my profession or that I am better than anyone. This is to say that I carry myself in a manner where I am nice to people no matter what. I would think someone who's only job is to speak to customers, would be a lot better at his job. At this point, I have stopped trying. It is a waste of time. There are plenty of racists in this world. Even if everyone turns the same color tomorrow, there will be people who will still be judgmental. It just sucks that I have moved to Birmingham for my job and this is the type of stuff I run into. He needs a reality check asap. One day he's going to be rude to the wrong person and get whatever karma he deserves. 0/10 because of him.

My Walmart pick up order was never finished on time on an off-peak time. My senior citizen mother had to go in person to find out what the problem was. This is not the way to do business!

The store pickup is awful! Didn't receive over $70 worth of groceries. No one could help me or provide what I didn't receive. Had to go the night without milk for my child. Called the store over 10 times to inform them of the mistake and no one answered.

I like this Walmart if I'm only running in to grab a few things. The layout is kinda confusing to me, but the store is generally clean, well lit, and well stocked. The employees are helpful and prices are fair. My only gripe is the long lines, but that's the case in every Walmart.

I don't know what the deal is but the 280 store is awful. They never have the items I need and I go back a week later and they still don't, even after they claim they will be getting the items in. It's not just a one or two time thing or a one or two item thing a visit. It was three and four things. I've just started dealing with the traffic and stopping at the Target after I leave my job at The Summit. I've even gotten home and gone all the way back to Target because I can bet Walmart won't have what I need and I will end up there anyways. Come on 280, y'all gotta get it together. Most of your employees act clueless, like they don't even work there and definitely don't want to be there. I had one employee say to me,"Can you get out of my way so I can unload this cart and go home?" I said, "I'm so sorry that I'm shopping, but yes I will gladly get out of your way since you seem to be in such a hurry." I hope your day gets better. Geesh y'all. I very seriously doubt I will ever shop at the 280 store again.

One of my friends always talked about going to "the Walmart on 280" like it was the Disney World of the Walmarts. She made it sound like Brook Highland/Greystone area residents had it so much better than all the other Walmarts. I came here and my impression upon seeing it was....."This is it? This is like any other Walmart I've been to? I'm confused." It's honestly tucked away and not much bigger than any other Walmart I've been to. They sell the same items as any other Walmart too. I was able to get everything I needed here so it did the job. So I can say it's decent, but don't get your hopes up. A Walmart is still a Walmart.....

Went looking for a Ethernet cable that it said they had online. Asked a couple employees if they knew where I could find them. None of the Employees knew what it was. Tried the electronics guy but he was to busy to answer my question. So I just left and went to Best Buy and got one no problems.

If I go to the 280 Walmart, I always end up needing to go to another grocery store bc 95% of the time they are out of at least two things I need. It's honestly getting ridiculous. They won't have certain food items, bottled water I drink. The staff usually acts like they hate their jobs. I don't know how anyone could give this Walmart a 5 star review or find shopping here a pleasure. I find it a hassle and now I rarely go and when I do it always puts me in a bad mood lol. I'm not trying to be mean or rude but this not having my items business is getting old. It's not like the stuff I'm needing is something strange.
