“Today I went to the downtown Birmingham Post Office because I needed help with a difficult mail issue. I was greeted by Jeremy at the lobby entrance, who listened to a short portion of my story. Jeremy directed me to the mail clerks for assistance. I was fortunate to have Cassandra available to assist me. After carefully listening to my concern, she quickly turned to her computer and fixed the issue. I left very impressed with my visit to the Downtown Birmingham Post Office. “No frills post office, went in to mail a FB order and the lady at the desk didn’t say a word to me. Instead she just kept talking to another customer. In and out in less than 60 seconds though, can’t say you can beat that! Support the U.S. Postal Service!!! Bring back snail mail ❤️”

“The clerk in this post office is so sweet and professional. She helps everyone and make them feel special. I think the only people who gets mad are the ones that are not prepared or want free tape or use the wrong tape on their packages. I love Ms Kennedy! I woulnt go anywhere else”

“Today I had to do some checking on my mail service due to waiting for some important documents and haven't received any mail in a few day's and for me this isn't normal. So I took a trip to my local post office on lomb avenue in Birmingham to inquire about the issue. The staff was very helpful and professional the young lady we spoke with was Shanta and another young professional were doing all they could do to give us information we were needing. The service was great she advised us that she would be checking on our mail for the next days ahead and would directly contact us if she found the pieces of mail we were inquiring about. I also have to say that the main reason we were following up was we really really have a professional relationship with our current mail carrier. He's always very good at his job n his work. We have never had any issues regarding questions we ask mail being delivered on time and all of our deliveries. We so appreciate the opportunity to meet the staff inside of our local post office. We left feeling confident that we were being looked out for. So again Thank you entire staff at the post office on lomb avenue we appreciated the help. And to our current mail carrier thanks for all you do. You have spoiled us on 50th street.”

“Very courteous and attentive staff! And easy to drop off prepaid postage items for e-commerce sellers. Was traveling from Atlanta for a softball tournament in the area, but we had packages to send to our customers, very easy to drop off and friendly staff was helpful.”
“The lady I dealt with was very sweet I wanted to send a envelope somewhere and I eneded up having the item in the wrong envelope she told me the right one to get and let me jump back next in the line despite the long line of people. She was very sweet to me as well as my son, really great employee.”
“I stopped in this post office to mail a small package and drop off a few letters. The postal workers were just so kind and helpful! I also purchased some Valentine’s stamps which are just so cute. The only mark against this post office I would make is that the outside looks so unkempt, it needs a good pressure washing. I was honestly unsure of if it was open.”

“Tucked away in a small spot, parking is a challenge. It has a drive thru area for dropping mail. Take note that traffic is directional, one way in, one way out. Check the times before you go, they do close early. There are two windows that are available so they can get slowed down by transactions taking a while (i.e passport applications etc). Most information is online so read up before visiting and pestering the clerks and holding up the line. Dropping off prepaid packages is easy, but you have to line up if you want a receipt. For passport applications, you have to set up an appointment online and they do have the ability to take your photos there.”

“I go here typically every weekday and no matter who is working, I’m always kindly greeted and taken care of. I’m not sure why so many people leave bad reviews, but the people up front do their part well while being friendly. I’ve used all of the post offices in the area and this is by far my favorite.”
“So I ordered a package and forgot to put my resident number on the address when I placed the order which means that the package is going to probably be circulating So I called this location this morning and spoke with a young man by the name of Joseph, he was very helpful and took time to help try to locate my package him just taking the time out trying to help me with a problem that Was ultimately my fault meant a lot to me, so I thought it was only right that i share my experience!!!! Thank you Joseph for that wonderful customer service that you gave me this morning.”
