“Publix had gotten very lax in putting your groceries in your shopping cart and offering to take them out to your car. The last time I was there they did both. It was such a big help.”

“Remedies has provided exceptional customer service ever since we began using them a few years ago for a compound Prescription. Reminders are sent, the minimal issue we have had was handled immediately, and the overall the quality of the pharmacy is superb! Lea is so kind and genuine and has always gone our of her way if needed to make sure we get what we need. We also get our Rx shipped to us, and Remedies has been prompt and informative in this process as well! Overall 10/10 and will continue to utilize this pharmacy!”

“Love the fact that I can buy groceries then stop by and get gas before leaving for home. The gas prices are much better than the Quick mart down the street. I have been a member of this Sam's Club since they first opened in Hoover.”

“I seriously love this place! I swapped due to all the other pharmacies giving me a really hard time (Walgreens, Publix, CVS, etc.), and wouldn't tell the truth about what was going on with my medication and why it was on backorder or even kind of help to find me a solution during this time. The minute I've come to MRP you can tell they care truly about their patients. Any recommendations, or requests given to them, they take it highly into consideration. I've started sending patients from my work (doctor's office) there because I truly think anyone would get the best experience with pure kindness and hospitality. Eventually they even try to make it known they know your name personally and treat you as a regular! Thank you, Clay, truly for always being super helpful!!!!”

“This is the best pharmacy I have ever used. Zach and his staff are incredibly knowledgeable, courteous, professional and personable. Not pretentious and very welcoming to all. My insurance will no longer use a "hometown" pharmacy because they made deals with "big corporations" and it is not only more expensive for them but for myself. I hate it every time I have to go to the pharmacy when it used to be nice. They also have things in the store for sale and they're actually cute, affordable or useful. When I occasionally had to wait for my prescription, I always found things to buy and it wasn't exorbitantly priced. Not cheaper than the box store but definitely cheaper than the corporate pharmacy. Anyway, if you want to trust your pharmacist and know that they will make sure you get the right medication and/or it won't react to your other ones (Zach saved me twice from the doc in the box), want to buy Birmingham/Hoover, have a pleasant experience with a task that usually isn't enjoyable. Then I very much recommend using the Ross Bridge pharmacy. PS Get your COVID and flu shot here!”

Please commend her on a job well done. Especially in Customer Service”

“The pharmacists and pharmacy staff here are by far the most helpful, friendly, and in general pleasant to do business with. They are always smiling while doing their job. I don’t mean to beat a dead horse, but I must say that the staff here just gives off positive vibe and make going to the pharmacy as pleasant as it can possibly be. Thanks for all your assistance and courteousness.”

“Mills has been my pharmacy for 10+ years & it's a great feeling having a pharmacy you can count on. Just today, Shelby from the Bluff Park location, went above & beyond to make sure I had my rx before this crazy alabama winter storm hit. One of their delivery trucks was delayed because of the weather, & so I would not go without my medication, Shelby facilitated a pick up from another location- another employee drove to pick it up, and my rx was filled before they closed. It's little things like this that make this "hometown pharmacy" a million times better than any other out there. Thank you again!”

“Julie is an awesome. Leaving to go out of town for 9 days and was able to fill a prescription last minute. The chelsea location refused to offer any suggestions on where to get it filled or when they just said check back tomorrow but I’m leaving (10 years working with chelsea location I was really surprised by their response and tone) lucky for me my wife and 3 kids Julie saved the day!!! Thanks again you’re the best.”

“I have the best nurse (we want to adopt her)! And the whole experience has been such a blessing to me! I was scared and anxious about my infusions but this home experience has taken some of the edge off the negative! Highly recommend!”

“I wanted to get my Meds at the Hoover Walmart pharmacy yesterday, but the area was not there, and I needed to figure out what to do. I called the Pharmacy today and was told where it had been relocated in the store; I think that the pharmacy and its staff are the best. Walmart is not as friendly as it once was, but the service and the care that I received in the pharmacy are back to where you know you get the value, and you know you are welcomed. If you want good service, try them. You will leave smiling like I do.”

“The Manager Carl was helpful. He was polite. He showed me how to use the self checkout. He suggested I get an upgrade on my membership because I spend so much money here & get a discount. I'm definitely coming back to this location”

“What a great staff and great service. The pharmacy staff is always friendly and hard working DARCY was especially friendly professional and helpful. I've seen some of your employees basically grow up there from cashier to assistant management. Reflects will on the store as a whole and the management team. See y'all soon.”

“Chris(Kris?) was extremely helpful providing same day service in filling 6 prescriptions late on a Friday evening. She was both patient and courteous! She’s a keeper!”

“Kind of the place that sets the bar for any of your grocery shopping needs. All locations look and feel clean, and this one is no different. Shelves are well stocked and everything is very neatly organized. Produce are always fresh and meat always looks good. Full service bakery for a quick easy dinner, or a last minute dessert (They make really good cakes). Prices are a bit on the high side, but shop the sales and you'll do just fine here. Staff is friendly and helpful as well. I'd recommend this location.”

“Wow!! What an amazing team of people. They really go out of the way to help and answer questions no matter how trivial. Started using this as my local pharmacy and it sure the heck beats the other pharmacies in the area. I’ve been so used to using independent pharmacies but not anymore! Thank you Publix Valleydale Pharmacy!”

“I went to the cafe for a hot dog. Not only was the service quick and kind but the food was delicious. The hot dog was a good size for what you pay which is 2.50 for the combo with a drink and the bun was soft. I am not someone who particularly enjoys hot dogs but this one was delicious. The eating area was sanitary and clean and there was room to distance in case of a need to do so which I did appreciate. I found the packaging to be a bit wasteful and would love to see fewer uses of plastic especially in the drink containers and the cutlery. Overall it was a very positive experience and I will be returning.”

“I called ahead and let the Pharmacist know that I potentially have COVID and am awaiting my test results. They went out of their way to go out in the store for me and got my over the counter vitamins and medicines and rang it all up at the pharmacy drive thru. I had my Emotional Support Dog with me in his car seat and she even put a sealed baggy with a Milkbone in it for him. I'm really appreciative of how thoughtful they were in preparing everything so that I didn't feel as though I had to go inside or find a friend that could go in for me.”

“Great CVS and helpful staff. Good place for vaccines too.

Can be hard to get into parking lot. If coming Hwy 280 East drive past it and turn between it and Shell station.”

“I love that this location is 24 hours. I needed to get a few things so this was the perfect spot to stop at on a Friday night. It was kind of crowded but I didn't have any issues getting what I needed. The staff was friendly and helpful. I think this was probably my first time at this location. Or maybe it's been awhile. I don't know. I would definitely come here again!”

“I think the pharmacists here are very courteous and helpful. We have had to navigate medication changes, shortages, etc. They have always proven very helpful. I love the drive up option too!”

“This is considered Walgreens Galleria. It is ridiculously busy. We used this Walgreens about 4 years ago, then transferred prescriptions to the old Rite Aid at Hoover Commons. We loved it, Walgreens bought out that store. Then they suddenly closed with a little notice, in February 2024. So now we are forced to return to the “Galleria Walgreens”.

Joy, One of the Veteran pharmacists that was at the previous Walgreens, the one that closed is now working here. She may be there part time or maybe she floats. I am unsure, but she is AMAZING! It is so nice to see a familiar face and someone who knows you. She is very personable and helpful.

Sometimes they’re just too busy,. The customer service is usually decent. I’ve had a couple of times where I’ve been hung up on, or placed on representative hold, many times when I’ve called and had a genuine problem with the app, not letting me refill a prescription that I could see, it was just tell me it was at a store that was no longer open. And short of going there myself, you must call.

So there is a disconnect between the app and this store. The app stinks. It is not very reliable. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

At any rate, I would give this store a 4/5 on Customer service. They are helpful, it’s just really hard to get through. I miss the short waits, Familiar faces, helpful and friendly staff at our other Walgreens.

And for that reason, I may transfer our prescriptions somewhere else.
I can’t complain because they always have my medication in stock. They can’t help that they’re very busy. So that’s the only complaint I have. I guess busy is a good thing, but they’re only human. I suppose it gets a little crazy working at a place where the drive-through is always five or six cars deep. And there’s usually a line inside as well.

If you use this, Walgreens, I would suggest you just park and go inside. Drop off your prescription and come back later.

I used to get my prescriptions filled while I waited about five minutes at the old Walgreens that is now permanently closed. Those were the days.

I don’t mind waiting, I don’t mind dropping off. But you have to go at a time like 3 o’clock in the afternoon. Avoid Early pick ups, Avoid the lunch hour 11-1 and by all means avoid 5 O’clock rush-hour. Go after 7 PM if thru week.”
