New Hunter ceiling fan. About $215 by the time I bought all the conduit, wire, fittings, etc. About 3 hours installing and running wire. I'm a slow electrician.

I had a very good experience with the staff at the Valleydale location. Everyone was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Clarence was especially helpful as he took time educating me on stackable washer/dryer units. I really appreciate good customer service!

Visited this Lowe’s about a month ago because we needed to change our floors. Someone came to our house and took the measurements and pictures and we never heard again from them. Two weeks later we decided to call and find out why no one was getting back to us and a Mr Robert informed us that he called and left a message even though we have no messages or missed calls from Lowe’s. we were informed that they would not be taking up the project because of our stairs! Really Lowe’s? You have got to be kidding me. You can do better than that!

Everything was great until the checkout where the only option is self checkout, which would have been fine if the lady working the self checkout would have just gotten out of the way and let me check out. It took three times as long as it would have to have done it myself and quite honestly she was kind of hateful about it. Pick one. either pay people to run a check out or use self checkout and get out of the way but I probably won't go back to this Lowe's location again.

I went to the Lowe's on Valley Dale to buy an exterior door. This was a very time sensitive item since I was selling the property and the door needed to be replaced before closing. None of the Lowe's in B'ham had the size I needed, but I was told by a Lowe's employee I could order it. I ordered the door from Lowe's online and it gave me a date I could pick it up (3 weeks). I waited very patiently until that date and the door had not even been shipped. I could not get help from Lowe's Online they said I would need to talk to someone at the store. I went down to the store to inquire about my order. They were NO HELP. The assistant manager said I probably would not get the door. That the manufacture wasn't making that size anymore. I don't understand why Lowe's would sell something that they couldn't get and not tell me about it and charge my card for it. So the assistant manager suggested I cancel the order which I did. Later that day the manager of the store calls me and says he would try to get me the door. I said great! I need it fast! Then the manager called me back and said he couldn't help me because I canceled the order. I told him, I did what the assistant manager suggested. The manager suggested I place the order again and start over. I told him I would place the order again, but not with Lowe's. I ordered a very similar door from ACE hardware for half the price and got it in 4 days. I won't do this again. All Lowe's wanted to due was blame someone else. Lowe's Online pushed it off to the store. Then the assistant manager wanted to blame the manufacturer. Last the manager wanted to blame me for canceling the order. No one would take ownership of the issue and get it resolved. By the way the assistant manager told me I wouldn’t be able to find that door since all the hardware stores buy from the same manufacturers. That turned out not to be true.
