I ordered a Ford Lightning in another state and moved to alabama. Either their help, I was able to get the order changed. I ended up earlier buying a truck and then mine came in. The sales team and finance team over at Long Lewis was like night and day vs the other dealer I had used. They had to be the best car dealer ship ever. Super helpful and allowed me to purchase the one I ordered and wanted. I can't say enough positive things about them

They charge $285 an hour in labor rate vs Town And Country Ford in Bessmer who charges $210 and hour, plus Town and Country do the work twice as fast with better service. If you want to save money, take you vehicle to Town and Country Ford in Bessmer.

I was told they wouldn’t rent to me again because the guy who is over the alabaster location straight out lied said I had balances left owed I rented from them several times! The guy was always plain out rude and a complete smart *** not very people friendly at all. He lied about having cars for rent I was in the office when several people called and he told me I don’t feel like dealing with anyone nor doing the paperwork and the last vehicle I rented wasn’t clean at all and smelled like a ash tray literally and I don’t smoke! Then he lied and told the manager in Hoover that he thought my son was driving the vehicle when my son is grown doesn’t live with me and doesn’t live near me bc I used my miles I had I am given a certain amount of miles what does it matter if I use them I have a job I drive to Monday through Friday my daughter was at children’s several times severely sick and my dad was in the hospital sick from chemotherapy and other issues so yeah I used my miles I also detailed every vehicle I rented before returning it and I have the proof of where every dime was paid and never a balance owed!!!! This place and the manager of Hoover and the guy over alabaster are both our right rude but others will see it and I hope they lose every rental customer period after lying and treating customers this way you don’t deserve a job! I don’t recommend them period!!!!!!

I have exclusively used Ernest Mcarty Ford for years, who was just bought out by Long Lewis. In this instance I couldn't get scheduled for my normal oil change so since they were bought out by Long Lewis, I figured I would try the Hoover location as I was about to head out of town for a trip. Well not only did they charge me double for the oil change vs the Alabaster location. They left oily hand prints all over my door and steering wheel. I would absolutely never do business with this company again.

Was told Friday at 3 pm my issue could not be fixed at a Firestone and that I should call the Ford dealership. Called immediately and was put on the schedule for 8 am Monday. Everyone I worked with was really nice and helpful when I got there. Was shuttled to my place of work about 20 minutes away by a sweet man who drives their shuttle, but I did have my own transportation back to the dealership later that day. I was called and given the run down about what all was going on and what my estimate was going to be before anything was done without my consent. Not sure if it was a stroke of luck or what, but my total was a lot less than they quoted me for initially (after the diagnostic) and it was able to get repaired same day with the help of one of the neighboring dealerships having the part my car needed vs. them having to order it for me to be shipped. All in all, I was really happy with my experience today! Seemed like they were doing a lot of business.

This place was a God-send! I booked a reservation with Hertz and on the day of my pick up they told me that they had no vehicles available!! I googled and found Long Lewis rentals. They were the only company to have vehicles. The process was simple, quick and to the point. Ken was nice and expedited my services! I’m definitely moving my business to Long-Lewis! The price was still in line with my previous booking. I highly recommend!!! 5 stars!!!!

Moved to Birmingham from another state and brought my 4 Fords with me. Took my F350 in and was told that Long Lewis doesn't honor any extended warranty contracts that are not directly through Ford. It was "recommended" I pay cash and then seek to be reimbursed by the warranty company. I have never in all my years even heard of this before, my dealership at home was happy to handle my commercial extended warranties and they probably got tens of thousands of dollars in business from them. I have owned Fords for 20+ years and have 250K+ worth of Fords in my driveway right now that apparently Long Lewis has no desire to take care of for me. I will now have to find another dealership that desires to have my business. That will also mean when I replace my Super Duty's and my Expedition I will be spending those monies elsewhere as well. I really like the staff - truly very sad that this dealership is treating Ford customers this way.

This is one really odd dealership. Despite the outside looking like a Ford dealership, the inside is anything but welcoming. It's a maze of barren, grey walls. They lead you to a gymnasium sized space with countless rows of cheap and empty desks. The person assigned to assist us had been working there for a week and was given a desk in the back corner. While there for basic information, we were held until a manager could "greet us". Imagine AmWay, an evening at the Branch Dividian compound and the awkwardness of freshmen orientation all wrapped into one, giant, grey, undecorated building.Had we been ready to purchase, perhaps it would have been a great experience. Window shopping? Nah, it was painful.

Service team member said he would call me with estimate of labor charges on accessories being put on truck. He did not. Charges were over $500.00 dollars for parts and labor. 95% being labor. Asked for a pickup 1.4 miles away to get my vehicle. Service team member said they did not do pickups. Charged me for oil change even though I had bought the Ford service plan that included that. (This was first oil change for new truck) Cashier said he probably didn't put in vin number. Why would they not register truck with vin number before during service? Only one star due to nAnd truck wasn't washed. And inside of truck smelled like oil and had shop smell. So I'm very disappointed and could not recommend buying or getting any vehicle serviced there. Not a good experience in any way for me.

I recently bought a 2021 Ford ranger from this place, and my experience was incredible. Tim was my main salesman, and he did everything he could to work with me and didn't do anything to try to force me into buying. He answered all my questions and was a very down to earth/understanding guy. If you are looking for a car, I 100% recommend this place, definitely ask for Tim!!

Do you have a favorite restaurant that you can count on to produce your favorite meal with reliable consistency? Then one day you make a visit and it was not that good. Maybe that day there was a new chef, or maybe the ingredients were not as fresh for the chef to work with. Who knows exactly why it was "off". I recently had an interaction with the Service Department at Long Lewis that left me questioning whether I would continue to do business with them. I was really upset. This review isn't about food but I think the analogy fits. About a week later I was contacted by the service manager who had found out about it and wanted to make it right. And then he did. It was made apparent to me that he and the dealership are respectful of their customers and want to keep their customers as well as gain new ones. This was unexpected and I am appreciative that it happened for me. I would say if you've had a bad experience or are concerned about your situation, then talk to one of the managers and give them the opportunity to hear you out. It is my hope that you might be surprised at the outcome just as I was. Take care and be safe.
