Dr Thompson and Dr Williams have been amazing. Very compassionate and helpful. Dr Thompson has been great walking us through the difficulties of a cancer diagnosis for my dog. And also caring for 2 new kittens. And Dr Williams was great treating an infection for one of the kittens. They have both been wonderful. Highly recommend.

We have used Lake Crest Vets for almost 10 years with 3 furbabies
They are the utmost in professionalism but with amazing depth of compassion and caring from the front to the back of the practice. We could not imagine using any other clinic!

A few weeks ago, my otherwise healthy 3-year-old cat died at this clinic, after having a urinary catheter removed. To blame the clinic for his death, will not bring him back. However, I do think there was mismanagement when it came to the transitions of care of my cat. I will highlight just three events that happened.
1) After a urinary catheter and IV were placed, a cone was not placed on my cat. So, when I came to transfer him from this clinic to the ER vet, his urinary catheter was removed.
This resulted in my cat having to go under anesthesia again when he got to the ER vet to place another urinary catheter.
2) I was informed that the clinic had communicated and sent over the necessary information to the ER vet before I came to transfer him from this clinic to the ER vet. However, when I got there they had no information. I also was not given any paper copies to give to the ER vet. The ER vet tried to call this clinic but was unable to reach anyone.
This resulted in basically everything that was done at this clinic to be repeated at the ER vet.
3) When I transferred my cat back from the ER vet to this clinic I made sure to get a paper copy of his records from the ER vet, however his records were not reviewed after I brought him in.
My otherwise healthy 3-year-old cat should not have died. All that was left was his catheter to be removed and to be observed for a couple hours before I was supposed to take him home. The only explanation that I got was “We are so sorry, we don’t know what happened.”
I strongly urge this clinic to look at their policies and procedures when handling any type of transition of care. I also strongly urge this clinic to have an on-call service for ER vets to get in touch with them after hours for clarification of labs, medications, procedures, etc. I believe that the vets here truly care about the pets that come through, and I do not think this is a result of one persons’ action. Rather, I think this is an administrative and systemic issue.
For the record, I have brought my cat/cats here since 2020 and have recommended this clinic to a couple friends who have ended up coming to this clinic based on my recommendation. I have only had positive experiences until this one. Neither I nor anyone that I know will be returning to this clinic.

I have been using Lake Crest Animal Clinic for several years and it’s the best! The doctors are excellent, kind and professional. The staff, especially Donna, is wonderful. I will not take my sweet kitty anywhere else. Thank you!.

I have had the privilege of taking my dog to Lake Crest Animal Clinic for about eight years. They are always helpful and courteous. The technicians work with my dog very well, which prevents her from being overly anxious when they’re finished with her. Additionally, I use Lake Crest’s boarding service for my dog …they do a terrific job with my dog overnite. I have also purchased their Heartworm, Flea and Tick medicine for several years. Lake Crest uses nothing but the latest and best medicine and my dog is healthier. Lake Crest Animal Clinic really deserves this Unsolicited Commendation because they have kept my dog healthy over the past eight years.

My kitties & I see Dr Hodges, tho I’m comfortable seeing any of Lake Crest’s excellent vets should need be. Much research was done before choosing this clinic bc admittedly I’m a helicopter cat-mom who insists on the best for my Bon-Bons. Dr. Hodges is a top-notch vet - highly knowledgeable & compassionate, with a quiet manner that balances my tendency to be over-wrought when one of my fur-babies is sick. When applicable, all options for diagnostics, treatments and/or any medications are discussed. Should a physical exam alone be sufficient to rule out a particular concern, I appreciate that Dr. Hodges will offer to do additional testing to further ease my mind.
In addition, the office staff are always friendly and helpful and the waiting room and exam rooms are kept clean and odor free. Lake Crest Animal Clinic and Dr Hodges are highly recommended!

All of the staff are very friendly and I especially appreciate Dr. Hodges. He gets on the floor with Piper and puts her at ease. He is an exceptional vet!

A boarding facility recommended I go here to get a quick shot and honestly I wish I could give 0 stars. The receptionist was extremely rude and passive aggressive right off bat for no reason. Not sure if it’s because I’m a person of color or what, but she was beyond nasty with her tone and speech. I work in Veterinary Medicine so it has me questioning what type of Veterinarian would have such a person work underneath them. Must be trying to scare any potential new clients away. Will most definitely not be returning. Good customer service is a must, and they obviously lack that.
