“I've been shopping here since 2016. Always fantastic sales and great customer service. One time I was treated bad, I reported her because she was doing nothing ...standing, looking, giving dirty looks and never asking if I needed help. It shocked me because that's never happened....not in that store. Hopefully I will never have that happen again. (Best store in Bham.)”

“Huge inventory of reasonably priced items for the home, including some really nice Christmas decor, snacks and gift ideas. The aisle are a little bit crowded so you have to give time to look through the store.”

“I helped build this store in my early 20s I’m now 30. And to stop by when I’m out this way and see how well it’s doing and how CLEAN it is! My God! Jeremy is absolutely outstanding. I’ve worked at Lorna road(helped build that one and worked there a long time), I’ve worked at Helena, and I’ve worked at valleydale. This store is amazing. The young ladies at self checkout today around 3PM were amazing and attentive. If you ever shop at Lorna road or any neighborhood Walmart really in the area, you’ll see a difference. “My family and I always enjoy shopping at the Homewood location. The staff are always friendly. The store is always neat and clean, with the usual random restocking boxes located neatly out of the aisles for shopping convenience. In my experience, I am almost always greeted when I walk in the front door. Check out is always very friendly and professional. Definitely my favorite Target store in the Birmingham area.”

“I have rediscovered JCPenney! This store really has a great selection of clothes, housewares and gifts. I plan on doing all of my Christmas shopping at Riverchase JCPenny this year. I really hope JCPenney corporate invests in this particular store and implements a few upgrades. Nonetheless, the customer service is great and the selection of things is great with great prices.”

“Wal-Mart’s attempts to improve one’s shopping experience by rearranging half of the stores merchandise is a failure in my opinion. I want to be able to find what I’m searching for in the same place in each store.”

“Great deals but you define have to look around to find the best deals. They do bargain with you on open box type items. Service was fantastic!!! The two ladies that helped me went above and beyond contacting the manager on pricing. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!”

“I called ahead and let the Pharmacist know that I potentially have COVID and am awaiting my test results. They went out of their way to go out in the store for me and got my over the counter vitamins and medicines and rang it all up at the pharmacy drive thru. I had my Emotional Support Dog with me in his car seat and she even put a sealed baggy with a Milkbone in it for him. I'm really appreciative of how thoughtful they were in preparing everything so that I didn't feel as though I had to go inside or find a friend that could go in for me.”

“I don't know how this happened. Somehow, for years I have over looked Macys hen shopping for all things makeup, skin care, and other beauty supplies. Came in yesterday since we had parked in this area prior to walking around the Galleria mall. Most of the times when we come to the mail we park on the JCPenny side and don't pay any means to Macys. But I am so happy we came through yesterday. As soon as we walked in we saw a gorgeous display of fragrances. We were on top of that so fast spraying different ones to see what they smelled like. It got intense. Next we walked through the purse aisles as well as the make up and beauty supplies. Everything was marked down as low as it possibly could be marked down. I saw some bath and shower sets for $2 and even lower than that. All in all, if you are looking for a gift for a friend or yourself, I highly recommend checking out Macys. There was so much good stuff.”

“Loading up on pre-event supplies at aWalmart is always a good thing. Even grabbing snacks for a 24 hour running event is fun too. Or so it would seem so.My friend and I wandered here to this, Walmart in Hoover, Alabama for some pre-race items that may have been not needed or use after the fact. it was a Friday afternoon and October 2023. For this visit at this Walmart we spent about 45 minutes separately so we could find what we were looking for. I ended up having to walk around the aisles with a shopping cart, which is seldom and rare. Walmart is trying to be your quintessential hub for every day essentials. Much like Amazon but they normally ship stuff in and you can really get your hands on it until days later. But Walmart is different since you can get stuff right off the shelf on demand. With that said, my friend, and I loaded up on snacks and anything that could sustain us during a 24 hour running event. From Water to sports drinks to candy and cookies, we loaded up on what we wanted to have during a grand event. While shopping, it felt like it was kind of fun, to be honest. But, in all honesty, it was essential for us to have this Walmart stop because we needed it for our own well-being. For the most part, though, our time spent here at Walmart was very good and casual. They do have practically everything you would possibly want on a daily basis. it's quite outstanding that they do carry almost practically everything and it is amazing to have Walmart in our communities. Walmart is a place where you can get reason prices and they can be cheaper than your neighborhood shopping centers Costco may be cheaper, bulk sales, but Walmart can be as advantageous for saving money.The overall experience here at this particular Walmart location was as good as it can be. I quickly found what I was looking for and everything was at its normal location. There was actually plenty of Walmart sales associates here that could have helped me with what I was looking for, but I had time to shop, so I found what I needed needed with a bit of searching and look that I would find it sooner rather than later. This Walmart is about the same size as any superstore. It basically has whatever you need and they pride themselves on. Everything seem to be in order and definitely had a nice experience here in Hoover, Alabama. It's a Walmart of course that has basically everything. During my experience here at this Hoover location, I personally ended up paying for a lot of stuff I didn't really need since the event already provided majority of the stuff. Ended up having to consume it afterwards during my down time after the event and some of it was packed into my luggage for the flights home. I liked the way Walmart was organized but it can be a zoo if you don't know where you are going or where a certain product you are looking for. A lot of times, Walmart is basically a self service, as with many other grocery and department stores around the country and possibly the world. You'd ask for help when you do. The help I did receive from a young Walmart sales associate that day was not helpful but I knew I should have remembered to pack it in my luggage before coming to the Greater Birmingham area.This Walmart is located in Hoover, Alabama. Just outside the city center of Birmingham. Maybe 15-20 minutes driving. The physical address is 2780 John Hawkins Parkway in Hoover. They accept major credit cards as well as cash. They have a bunch of services just outside their cashier section like Eye wear and sometimes Subway. I don't think this one has a Subway, although I can be wrong. I didn't see much while I was shopping initially. They do have a large customer parking lot for just about anyone and everyone who comes to this particular Walmart location. Not sure if the metro Birmingham public transportation system stretches out to Hoover, but if it can be done, you can get here from Birmingham out to Hoover to get yourself here to Walmart and shop on. If no private vehicle or public transportation are available, there'”

“I like this Walmart if I'm only running in to grab a few things. The layout is kinda confusing to me, but the store is generally clean, well lit, and well stocked. The employees are helpful and prices are fair. My only gripe is the long lines, but that's the case in every Walmart.”

“I do most of my grocery shopping here because it's close to home. Sometimes you can find a good deal but other times, things are over priced (more expensive than publix). I honestly prefer Publix over Walmart because the prices and quality is better. But as far as convenience, this Walmart is just that for me. The staff is usually kind and helpful also. Just be sure to watch your surroundings. I have been followed through this store before by a man that cornered me on every aisle I would go down and would not stop making inappropriate comments.”

“My shopping experience was satisfactory as usual. However when you reconfigure your stores with no guidance shoppers strugggle to adjust. I can navigate a new layout easily but I notice seniors or disabled people in difficulty. Can you provide temporary signage or a handout? A disabled friend spent 2 1/2 hours grocery shopping due to a new layout. Additionally your prices seem unusually high, I am considering CostCo and you are much higher on some groceries than Trader Joe’s. Continue to leave with 5 to 6 items unavailable when I go to a Super WalMart. Overall you do a great job.”
