This post office has been incredibly rude to me multiple times and today they did the same to my husband. They refuse to scan packages and give a receipt if you’ve prepaid, so your packages don’t start tracking until they get around to it. Very frustrating because customers want to see their tracking info as soon as possible. On top of that there is usually a large pile of packages that haven’t been scanned on the countertop, where anyone could steal them if the clerk turned around. Go to Mountain Brook, Vestavia or Fairfield P.O. instead, where they have excellent customer service and will gladly scan your packages and give you a receipt.

If I could give 0 starts I would. Viereck Felton and the manager that works there are both highly unhelpful. I had a very valuable item get lost in the mail because they did not scan it. Their explanation was that they “scan when they have time”. They refuse to scan packages in front of you as well as give receipts for prepaid shipping items. Go somewhere else unless you want to lose your items!

I’ve never had a bad experience using this post office. A couple of times a clerk added shipping tape to my packages without my asking. I was grateful! At my retirement home, packages are scanned immediately when picked up. I’ve never had mail lost. I’ve dashed to add forgotten mail as they walk out our front door and they were ok with it. They’re polite; I’m not looking for fake smiles and scripted verse, anyway.

I've always found them very helpful and courteous. (I am of a different "race" than they, but noone seems to care!)

A nightmare. They are rude, it always smells like weed and just generally do not care about you or your packages.

Complete disaster. If it were a public business wouldn't last a week. Disgrace.

I went to return something and I thought they could print out my label there and they couldn’t . So then I came back with my printed label and they didn’t even let me use their tape. They are so rude

They were quick to take my packages and my money. But when one of my orders got canceled a few hours later and I went back down there, there was no manager that could help. The lady at the register didn’t know what to do except give me a number to an office no one answers the phone at. Then I had to call customer service and they called me back hours later. They told me to go to another location to speak with a manager on snow dr. I did and The manager did not help. He tried to tell me the package was already mailed out on Friday even tho I went up there this morning (Monday) to do all this. I corrected him and he didn't care. I drove to 2 different places to resolve this and no one could help me or give me the correct information on what to do.So now I lost out on $100 dollars and merchandise. Beware!!!I hate how bad usps has become. They do not care about their customers anymore.I will continue to use the better carrier services in Birmingham. You lost a customer today.

The clerks (Joyce and Viereck) are always professional and courteous. They always give me the best options to ship my packages and letters. I appreciate their wonderful service. The facilities are always pristine.

I used to come here all the time to mail my packages, but I have not been here in almost a year. The service in general was slow, but the location was convenient. One of the postal workers refused to scan and accept my packages last December about two or three weeks before Christmas. She said I could put them in the bin outside the lobby. I left and have never been back. I took my packages to the downtown post office where they scanned and accepted them.

The man at the counter is extremely rude to the point I am canceling my po Box. They take weeks to deliver to the po Box and it's in the back the whole time but they refuse to look until days later. I have had 2 encounters with the man at the front desk. The first time a package wasn't delivered and was a week past the confirmed delivery date he sent me away 3 times stating my package wasn't here and refused to go in the back. Well it took 4 times and it was back there the whole time. Today I go in with a tracking confirmation and he does the same thing and rudely tells me it's not here and again refused to even look at my tracking number. So I have to wait another few weeks to get a package that in their back office again. Seriously terrible service, rude for no reason.

This place is a nightmare for anyone looking for something as basic as a money order- how does a post office run out of money orders??Also, make sure you have several different kinds of currency options because sometimes they can’t take cash, or sometimes their computer is down and can’t take cards. Everytime I’ve been in there, there is only one cashier- and there is always a line. Hey Post master, is this really a post office??
