“Amazing place! My friend had been before and referred me to them and I got an appointment scheduled for them to take a look at my car and see about doing a muffler delete. After I got there I was able to wait in the very nice waiting area which had couches and beverages. “These guys will simply not take my money. I don't know what's wrong with them. Two cars I tried to bring in, they looked them over, test drove, said it wasn't necessary to service the transmission (even ruled transmission out for a problem I thought HAD to be related). Very strange people but I guess if you're the type of person that doesn't like to spend money if you don't have to, this is the shop for you! Ten stars.”

“I found this place by doing a quick google search while in the area. I was in dire need because my vehicle wasn't braking correctly.
They were pretty busy that day, but they managed to squeeze me in and get me fixed up within a couple of hours.

“I cannot say enough good things about my experience today with Southern Rubber Tire. They were knowledgable and professional and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing auto services.
I came in to get 2 tires replaced as they were showing concerning visible wear and tear. I also had them inspect my other two tires as I had been told by Mavis earlier this morning that they were dangerous to drive on and also needed to be replaced.
Despite having the opportunity to upsell me on tires I didn't need, Mike, conducted a thorough inspection of my tires and informed me that the damage was purely cosmetic and that my tires were perfectly safe to drive on. As for the other two, he said that while they were old, that the tread was "like new" and and the tires were also safe.
What truly set this experience apart was Mike's approach; he offered advice as if it were for his own vehicle, focusing solely on what was necessary and best for me. His honesty is commendable.
I am immensely grateful for the respectful and courteous service I received and when my tires do eventually need replacing, I will be returning to Southern Rubber Tire.
They also kindly checked my sister's tires, who had followed me to give me a ride, and while they are close to being in need of replacing, they told her that she probably had 5-10K miles left and that it wasn't urgent.

“This auto repair shop is fantastic. The owner, Danny Bedgood, is an automotive guru! I was visiting family in town and had a warning light go off. He squeezed me in and had me all fixed up for our long drive back home. I wish so much that I had access to a place like this where I live! I'm telling all my family members who own Toyotas to definitely take their cars to Danny! Can not recommend highly enough. (One person says that they drive 4 hours to get Danny to work on their car. All I can say is that I get that!)”
“I took my car in a few days earlier to have the spark plugs changed because I didn't want any problems on the road to see my new grand baby. As I was preparing to leave on my trip, my car started acting funny. I called Car Care and told me to bring it right in. They worked me in and replaced my battery that had seen better days. I made it to my destination without any problems. A small problem, but greatly appreciated.”
“We traveled from Maryland for the Thanksgiving holiday and needed some work done on our Volvos prior to driving back home. The owner Alex, waited for us to arrive although it was near to their closing time. Once we arrived he was efficient and knowledgeable about our cars. Repaired the Volvos and made sure sufficient air was in our tires in record breaking time. We drove back to Maryland without any issues. Great place with exceptional service! “I can't recommend Manny and moto autohaus enough! I've been bringing both my E30 and M2 here for everything and there's no other place I'd take them to in Birmingham. If you have any BMW, this is the place. Manny is both incredibly experienced and passionate about cars. You can tell the moment you walk into the shop. I've never had an issue with any of his work, and he is extremely easy to reach out to and ask questions about your car.”
“That's our 1993 Lexus LS 400 below--107K miles, and a wonderful car again, thanks to Marty's Transmission. "Thanks, Marty..." I said in a recent phone call to his shop "...it's 1993 again, and I'm driving a new Lexus. Smooth, excellent shifting, just like when it left the dealership 31 years ago. Well done!"
When I asked what had caused the transmission to fail, he held up a small disk with a crack in it. "This is what caused the problem. This particular year had an issue with this part. In the 1994 model, they strengthened this so it wouldn't happen."
It took a while, but Marty was able to carefully, thoughtfully, find all of the right parts from across the nation to properly rebuild this transmission. It hasn't been available from Lexus for years.

“I have only used Jim & Jim's Body Shop once at the recommendation of a former co-worker. I went there after calling because my driver side mirror was broken off. Instead of paying lots of money to have it replaced, they simply glued it back on. This didn't last very long unfortunately, but longer than having duct tape on my car. I eventually had to have the whole mirror replaced, but overall I was pleased with the work they did.
I didn't find the business rude by any means. They were a courteous staff, and got to work on my car as quickly as they could. I'm soon to have future body work needed on my car due to a car accident, and I'm considering using Jim & Jim's again because they are close to home, and I had a pleasurable experience during my last visit.”
