Replaced my tire. Was flat in the morning. Whole disaster. Do not go to pep boys. Also now my tire pressure monitoring system doesn't work. They don't care. Also tried to upsell on 20 different things even after I told them no a thousand times.

I visited the Mavis location on Greensprings Ave today, when I walled into the door the 3 men inside were very friendly. When I told themwhat my problem was Marshall immediate picked up the tool he needed and instructed me to meet him at the first bay. He explained to me what my problem was and resolved my current issue.Thanks Marshall for being so nice!!!!

Good service but the employee Donald is a charlatan. He treats Latinos very badly and makes fun of them for not speaking perfect English. They have already complained about him but they do nothing. I went again today and he helped me again and it was the same.

scheduled an oil change and got a full inspection that i didn't know about, need or want that added an even longer wait. i appreciate the effort but i was told it would just be an oil change and instead had to wait two hours while they took the tires off my car without permission. made my day harder than it needed to be.

The mechanics are very efficient, but the front desk advisor was not courteous. He could’ve easily notified me the policy about leaving your car or taking your car off the property when there’s a two - three hour wait, instead he said I saw you leave and threw your service request in the garbage and now you’re last in line again.

I went to buy tires for my car and they told me I need a cabinet filter and a air filter they both was dirty I had them to change them both when my car was ready and I left I noticed my car sounded like a truck (now I'm pissed) I take it back it the next day 12-31-2023 and the manager said I found the problem (I was shocked) I said what was the problem he said we order two air filters one for your car and one for another car and they gave me the wrong air filter I'm pissed because I'm sure the tech noticed the air filter didn't fit and you allow me to drive home and the company would have cause me more problems under the hood and all the manager could say I found the problem THAT'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!!!! 12-30-2023

Avoid at all costs. This place made me make an appt for an oil change and a tire balance/rotation and even with an appt it took them 1:40 to do the most simple of jobs. Upon finishing they tried to charge me $176 when I was told in person when I made the appt days earlier that a tire balance and rotation was $36. They charged me $75 for an oil change on a 2.5 Altima which only holds 4qts of oil. Once I got in my vehicle and attempted to drive off my hubcap fell off and someone drove over it. The better business bureau and Alabama attorney generals consumer protection agency will be notified. DO NOT GO HERE.

Very kind staff and managers. Had a catastrophic breakdown on the interstate coming into Birmingham and passing through and decided to be dropped off here. Best decision we could have made. Staff was extremely knowledgeable and VERY kind to my family and I. They took care of us and managed to get us back on the road within an hour. The service they provided was literally above any I have ever received at any auto repair location, I wish we were local so we could return for any work we need. Thank you!

Went to get my oil changed, when I picked up my car the attendant didn’t tell me anything about my car, rather mentioned that I needed to “tighten up” because my hair and nails weren’t done at the time of my appointment. They also didn’t tell me that my battery was almost entirely corroded. They actually didn’t tell me anything about the state of my car. They just asked me to pay and leave. Will not be returning to them.

PLEASE READ AND SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE!If I could give this place a rating below 0 I definitely would. The customer service was awful with Rob and Brad they were very rude and did not provide any information that I requested. Cooperate was called twice and they stated “The situation would be handled because the workers at Pep Boys escalated the situation”. My car was there for 3 days with no service, but only a battery check. On the second day, I spoke with someone named Ethan and he stated “I have sent the diagnostic to your insurance company because the problem is the starter of the car”. The following morning I received a call from Brad who is the manager stating “The diagnostic has been done and the problem is the Auto Theft System in the car and needs to be taken to a dealership”. I went to pick up my car and asked for a copy of the diagnostic sheet. Rob who was at the desk during the time stated “My manager said he told you that we did not do a diagnostic on the car”. I stated to him that was incorrect and stated what I was told by Ethan and Brad. Brad came to the desk and stated “We did not do a diagnostic test because we could not get the car to crank”. Now my car is being towed to a different company because they CAN work on cars even if they do NOT crack. I DO NOT recommend pep boys!Store: 1070

Had my truck towed to Homewood from the Summit since the starter wouldn't crank. Took to the end of the next day when I called asking if it was ready. They had to push it into a bay and complained the tow truck driver left the truck over the parking lot drain so it was uphill. I got it back the next afternoon and was told there were missing teath on the flywheel that was causing the starter to grind instead of engaging to crank. Took my new Jasper engine back to the installation shop. Flywheel was still pristine. Went to the Hueytown shop to have the new starter replaced. The Homewood mechanic failed to put the nut on the starter battery terminal. Very disappointed.
