Always takes great care of my 4 legged friend. They are very friendly and professional. I do not worry about my pup when she is in their care.

I took my dog to this vet for about 3 1/2 years from when I first got her until we moved. After we moved and I was getting ready to take her to a new clinic, I tried multiple times to get Green Springs to send me (or the new clinic) my dog's medical records. However, I was ultimately unsuccessful (1st attempt-they never faxxed the records to my new clinic, the 2nd attempt-they never emailed me at all, the 3rd attempt-all I received was a receipt of my most recent visit with Green Springs, which I already had and had not asked for, the 4th attempt-the person I spoke to insisted this one single receipt was the ONLY record they had for my dog after having been her vet for 3 1/2 years). My understanding is veterinary practices are required to keep records of their patients so it is baffling to me that I have better records for my dog, due to saving old receipts and maintaining a vaccine record booklet , than the clinic responsible for her healthcare. And when I went to my new vet office, the first thing they asked about was her medical records, which I couldn't give them because apparently Green Springs doesn't keep any. Furthermore, this visit for my dog's annual check up at my new clinic was the most thorough she's ever had. The vet actually spent time looking my dog over and explaining what she thought about my dog's health and even recorded, printed out, and gave me a written record of the visit summarizing the visit. I have a friend who is a vet and when I told her this, both my difficulty in getting my dog's vet records and how impressed I was with the thoroughness of the exam, she was confused because she also insisted that Green Springs should have legitimate vet records and that it was normal for annual check ups to be that detailed. I don't really know what's going on with the apparent lackluster record keeping of Green Springs, but it seems more than a little unprofessional that they don't keep any records at all (or don't know how to send them to people who need them). Birmingham has numerous vets-you're probably better off trying one of them.

If you're looking for a veterinarian or place to board your pet that is honest and trustworthy, this is not the place. I like to support small businesses, but with the expectation that it comes with great service. Rude front staff and an arrogant vet. Go elsewhere.

Had to put my 17 year old dog down this week. It was heart breaking, but Dr. Tucker and staff were amazing. They comforted us and helped us remain calm. They all clearly love animals and want what is best for them. In a sad situation, they were all an amazing support and we are so thankful for them. Highly recommend.

This is the first vet I've taken my puppy that I feel really wants to solve her UTI issue. Dr. Rutter called me and explained everything carefully and really took the time to explain to me what was going on with my pup.

Same people as Hoke animal clinic - Great staff! Always love on my dogs anytime I go to either place! Dr Tucker is owner now and Dr Davies - my original vet (worlds best imho!) is only there once a week as he's retiring , still he staff is fantastic! I love the new Dr Rutter , too! She really helped me w my newest adopted Westie who needs to lose a few lbs! Impressive vet for her young age! I mainly go to Hoke bc it's closer but these are the same folks ! Highly recommend!

This animal clinic is fabulous. They have taken care of my Labs and now my sweet girl, Lucy. They are caring and the vets there provide great care. I noticed the two reviews that this site said were not recommended were two others that were very complementary. I'm not sure why this Cathy had such a terrible experience, but rest assured that she is in the very small minority.

I have been using Greensprings Animal Clinic for 15 years and never had an issue. They care for our dog, have boarded are dog dozens of times, and he has never came back urine soaked like the other reviewer said. The Vets and their staff are always very friendly, typically do follow up calls a few days after the visit to check on your pet, and they know my name when I walk in. Very impressive.

Please DO NOT board your dogs here! I have been using them 2 yrs and have had many issues with boarding I.e. I was given my dog's blankets back soaked in urine twice upon pickup. Had to throw them away b/c couldn't get the smell out after washing. I picked my 2 dogs up Saturday after thanksgiving and the smell of urine was so strong had to ride with all of the windows down and couldn't let them in my home until bathed outside. There was visible urine on my white dogs neck, chest and feet. When bathing the black dog the suds were yellow. This is after paying extra for 2 extra walks a day!

We live in trussville but were on our way back from the beach when our dog Casca started to have a full blown anxiety attack. We had never been to this vet - but they were absolutely great to us and Casca. They didn't act frustrated by how we got there maybe an hour before close. Very informative. We are making them our primary vet now. Thank you!
