They don't know what they're doing!!! I was constantly waiting on my prescriptions to filled. I'd call to refill and one person would tell me I didn't have no refills and another would tell me something different. They told me I didn't have no refills on a prescription that I knew I did so I changed to Walmart Pharmacy and they had all my prescriptions ready. And be prepared to wait for 30 minutes in the drive thru.

It might sound odd, but I've had a very frustrating time being able to get any prescriptions filled at this location!Twice now, I have turned in prescriptions, and waited... and waited... and waited for them to be filled. But it NEVER HAPPENED! I would call to check the status and even intended to pay out of pocket for the medications, in case it was an insurance hold up.The last time I waited almost 3 MONTHS! I finally went to Walgreens to ask for the paper prescription BACK, so I could take it to another pharmacy just down the road.AND THAT PHARMACY HAD IT FILLED BY THE VERY NEXT DAY!Go somewhere else -- ANYWHERE ELSE -- to save yourself time and LOTS of frustration! I have learned my lesson and will not be back.

If I could put zero stars I would… it’s taking them days to get prescriptions filled, today did it when my 1 year old needed and inhaler I said I’ll be there in 15 minutes I get there and the lady says it’ll be after lunch till it’s done.. I’m just wondering do they have any compassion and urgency and good luck getting them to answer the phone. It took them 22 hours to fill an antibiotic last time my son was sick.. Changing pharmacies this place is terrible and management needs to be contacted asap!

I understand, it isn't great when a pharmacist tells you you can't fill a prescription early or they don't have it in stock, but that's not the pharmacists fault. This pharmacy has stepped up in the face of a large overflow from the one in meridianville closing and done it with a smile. I love my Walgreens! Y'all rock!!!Also, don't expect a pharmacy that is understaffed for the unseen overflow to their location to fill a prescription within 30min of closing when they are slammed already. They are working overtime and doing their absolute best to get everyone done. :)

One star is generous, but there was no option for zero stars. This location is absolutely horrible and mis-managed. Taking several days to fill prescriptions, and then making customers routinely wait 30-45 minutes to even attempt to pick those prescriptions up (if they have in fact bothered to actually fill them in the first place). Go to a real pharmacy instead.

Disappointed in the hazel green alabama they took my walkin prescription and never told me they had to order it and it took 4 days. I came back that afternoon and it wasn't ready. They would call me. I had surgery and was told to remove the bandages that night and apply this cream to the cuts 2 times a day. I ask the person working there when I picked it up why they didn't tell me they didn't have it so I could go elsewhere. She said they have no way of knowing if it has to be order until they process the prescription. I guess they are more worried about getting the business than me getting an infection in the 4 day wait.

THERE SHOULD BE A POLICY FOR FILLING PRESCRIPTIONS WITH A TIME SENSITIVE INITIATION. FOR INSTANCE, SOME DRUGS LIKE ANTIVIRALS FOR COVID-19 MUST BE STARTED WITHIN 5 DAYS OR LESS AFTER THE ONSET OF SYMPTOMS. EVERY EFFORT SHOULD BE MADE TO FILL THESE TYPE OF PRESCRIPTIONS IMMEDIATELY (NO MATTER HOW LATE IN THE DAY IT IS). IF THEY CAN'T FILL THE PRESCRIPTION BECAUSE IT'S OUT OF STOCK THEY SHOULD MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR ANOTHER PHARMACY TO FILL IT. THIS COULD MEAN LIFE OR DEATH FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE.On Sunday 07/30/23 the Walgreen's store in Hazel Green, AL had a note on the door "inside closed use the drive thru". After waiting in drive thru line approx 20 mins I made it to the window approx. 30 mins. before closing.Several prescriptions were sent via computer from Urgent Care but the lady said she had only received one. It took her sometime to figure out exactly what that one was. It wasn't the main one that I needed. I asked her to recheck for the others so she left the window and returned after some time saying she just received the others and I could pick them up tomorrow. TOMORROW! My husband had the same prescriptions filled in less then 5 mins the other day. THESE MEDS MUST BE STARTED WITHIN A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF TIME AFTER THE INITIAL ONSET OF SYMPTOMS AND I REALLY NEEDED THEM.I WAS UNABLE TO GO ANYWHERE ELSE TO GET THE MEDS BECAUSE I didn't have a paper prescription. She had plenty of time to fill the prescriptions before the store closed. If they aren't going to fill prescriptions at the end of the day (30 mins before closing) they should let customers know so we can have prescriptions called in or sent some place that will.Any pharmacy accepting the responsibility of dispensing medications with a time sensitive initial start should make sure customers get these meds ASAP even if it means staying late. Many patients aren't given a paper prescription to be able to go to another pharmacy so they are totally dependent on the pharmacy that has received the prescription. The pure laziness and lack of responsibility of the Walgreen's staff could cost someone their life. What a shameful disgrace.

What this location open they were the very best. Then they closed the location in Meridianville and transferred those to. Hazel Green. This store closes the inside because of short staff they have become very rude and could care less if you get any service. This is now the worst. I am looking for different options.

After trying virtually every drug store within a reasonable distance over 15 years, this Walgreens opened. Personable yet professional, it is a great place for prescriptions and booster injections. Highly recommend.
