Couldn’t help us because stacked up with work. We were on a trip and desperately needing help. The owner did make a recommendation of another place to try.

This is a Family run business and very professional that has everything from classic cars, motorcycles, dragsters, boats, to RVs, trucks, and pretty much anything on wheels. Some of the vehicles need a little or a lot of restoration but there are always some showroom finds too. You could find choices that date back nearly a hundred years to much newer 2000's models, you just never know. I stop in on occasion to get a closer look at some of the beauties but I haven't bought a vehicle from them, yet. Their cars are mostly on consignment so prices can be all over the place from deep discounts to way above book value but that's to be expected when sellers are primarily calling the shots. On a couple of the cars that I've talked to them about I have been impressed with their extensive knowledge of cars in general but also with the detailed knowledge of that specific vehicle. As with anything used it is up to the buyer to do their due diligence and hope for the best outcome. I will say that a friend bought a vintage Corvette there and he was very satisfied with his purchase from beginning to closure but that "got to have" car just happened to me there yet. In addition to this big showroom and lot in Gulf Shores they also have their Highway 59 Automart in Robertsdale, AL. You can browse some of their offerings on their website, contact then and you can even apply for financing there online: Bottom line: I had this draft in my queue but all of a sudden the place has been emptied out and I have no idea if they're moving or just went away. However, when I posted that info it was yanked by the Yelp Polizzi so I thought I'd try to sneak it in here :-) See current listings at: Follow them on Facebook:

I went to them right before Christmas because I had to have my brakes checked. My brakes suddenly started sticking and were locking up on me, and became practically undrivable.I had called multiple garages around the area ranging from Gulf Shores to Foley. All of them were already quoting me prices on a full brake service (hundreds of dollars) before even seeing my vehicle versus just what I needed (just a pad and rotor). Not only did I get my car serviced by the them at a fair price, but they also got to me the day I called, and right before Christmas too. Incredibly honest and friendly people here.Fair and honest mechanics are hard to come by—highly recommended!! Thank you so much for your help.Services: Brakes

While on vacation in Gulf Shores I noticed fluid leaking from the real axle of my F150. I called the nearest Ford dealership and they told me they couldn't get me into service for a week. Keep in mind this is a 2019 F150 so everything is under warranty. So I called Dwayne Akins at Gulf Shores Automotive and he told me to swing on by the next day! After giving me a tour of his shop, which has several amazing classic cars in it, he put my truck on the lift and checked the leak. I am so grateful to Dwayne, David, and Chris for helping me on such short notice. These guys are extremely nice, honest, and fun to talk to - lots of stories! 5 Stars all around.

Dwayne and his crew fixed me right up. I was on vacation and realized that I needed brakes. The excellent reviews is what brought me to the shop. He was very honest about what was needed and got the job done for a great price. He offered me a ride, but I decided to hang out instead....great company and a friendly crew! Was in and out in about an hour and a half.

I really can’t thank these guys enough. I had to evacuate during Hurricane Ida, my car was not having it, and they made me a priority and got my car back in working order. During a stressful time, they were one of the things that went right. I hope they know how much their service helped.Service: General repairs & maintenance

These guys know their way around cars, and they have are spectacularly good to their customers. So glad that the guy at Walgreens recommended I go to them while I was out of town. They fixed my car up quickly and were so kind in every way. Would highly recommend!

We have a 1969 Chevelle that the cooling fans stopped working. We figured we would have to have it shipped back to Ft. Worth. Decided to call around first thing in the morning to see if someone could check it out. After being blown off by GSBP Automotive & D J's Auto when we told them what kind of car we had we found Gulf Shores Automotive. What a lifesaver! I explained the problem & that we were from Ft. Worth & Dwayne said go ahead & bring it in & we'll see what we can do. They got it working the same day! Saved us a ton of time, money & trouble!

The shop is a little old but the gentleman that works there was helpful and gave us a very great price on a repair to a starter on a 2010 Toyota times V8. That's about a 1500 dollar job and we got it done for just under 400. It took a while to get it done in the emergency situation we were in. But if you need work done this mean will do it for a right fair price.

After being hosed by other mechanics I was nervous about finding someone trustworthy to work on Rhonda the Honda. After reading so many great reviews about Stacy I wondered if he asks his customers to give him good ratings (he doesn't).

Took my Grandson's car in to have a headlight replaced and to check the connectors to made sure they were not corroded or bad. Did not ask the guy for a price as I had been told they were very reasonable and they were very friendly and helpful. However if I need any other repairs I most likely will not go back or a least get a quote up front as I felt $100 for replacing bulbs and checking the connection was rather high. Post script. Owner called and explained there were 2 bulbs that were bad and they are $30 each. We had gotten bad pricing info from NAPA and was thinking they were $15 and only one bulb. All is well and I do appreciate him taking the time to call and explain.

Had car trouble while on vacation, found him by luck. Fixed my car and charged a very fair price. It sure is good to know people like this still are in business and taking care of people. I strongly recommend this automotive shop. Greg
