This place is a joke.
The people that run it should be jailed.
The animals look sedated, and undernourished. Theres no room for the animals to walk or exercise. Whoever gave this place good reviews must have been paid to do so. For what the zoo charges as what might be a government sponsored attraction, it should be examined. Everything is very expensive and unreasonable. They claim “their” system is down and can only accept cash????
The media should see and expose this travesty of an animal haven vs the other stupid crap they they rant over.
Bottom line is fix your zoo or send the animals
To someplace that will… all of them.
The video posted has more activity than the zoo. Oh and kangaroos?? I think they punched out the handlers and hopped out….cant make this up…

really interesting animals at this zoo compared to my local zoo. stopped here on vacation, and i would encourage others to do the same. there are two exhibits where you can walk in and interact with the animals: the lemur exhibit and the sloth exhibit, both for $24.95 per person. i will say i did notice the lack of shade a few of the exhibits had for the animals. we went at 9:30am and the sun was already very hot even this early, i felt sad for the animals directly in the heat. additionally, there were multiple reptiles without any water in their enclosures. it's possible they would be filled during the day, but i have the same exact snakes at home as pets, and it takes them many days to empty their water bowls to be completely dry. overall, it was a fun experience, and I'm glad we visited. the walk was easy and took around 2 hours to complete all the exhibits.

You know it’s really sad when you return to a zoo and start noticing animals missing. For example, in the America’s section, which I typically love, it’s beginning to break my heart. Apparently one of the Cappies died and the other one is also ill. I would bet it’s E. coli or something that keeping animals and enclosures clean and properly fed would keep at bay? This is truly sad.
It seems like staff is not cleaning nor feeding properly. The animals in Americas don’t look happy and healthy. This staff laziness is at the detriment to the animal. When animals are in captivity, they should have a better life than they would in the wild. The Americas used to be my favorite exhibits and have clearly declined the past year or so. It’s tough to watch on behalf of the animals. I still do enjoy other parts of the zoo though, but I’m gonna put my visiting on hold until they can bring their standards back up for the animals.

Nice small zoo to take the kids if you are at the beach.

Worst zoo ever!!! What few animals they have are not out to be seen we walked the whole zoo slowly and finished it in 15 minutes very over priced and a waste of money

The experience wasn’t horrible but was not the best experience, all of the animals were miserable looking and didn’t wanna move. The grass was not maintained so you can barely see the animals, the habitats were not kept up. The staff was not friendly or interactive with the patrons. Definitely have been to better zoos. For this zoo to be In the area it’s in and the price of the tickets it definitely could be kept up better and more interactive with the customers. I’m not sure how this is operating still honestly.

Not what I expected, hardly any animals out.
Also a lot of the areas were closed off or shut down, including the few rides and eating areas. Whole place came across as abandoned.
Very disappointing, won’t be returning.
The living conditions that some of the animals were kept in was a little disheartening. It was extremely hot and a few of them seemed overheated, also no shade was provided for them. Overall don’t recommend !

We brought our kids and grandkids sat around 1 and literally saw only staff in air conditioned gift shop and nowhere else ! No rides were running and the animals weren't coming out because of the heat! Sloth experience was sadly lacking! Paid for sloth encounter and literally got to pet ones back and that was it! We have been to alot of zoos and this one was probably most disappointing we have ever been too! They need to provide more shady areas also! It was just like it was deserted!

This was quite possibly the worst zoo I’ve ever been to. Every single enclosure was overgrown with weeds and looked very poorly taken care of. If this zoo takes care of their animals like they do their enclosures, these animals aren’t being taken care of. The black figure inside the fence is a bear that you can barely see because of how poorly his enclosure is taken care of.

It was ok I paid full price for 6 people and they didn't care to mention alot of the animals were out for observation in my opinion it's not worth the cost.

This one we could have passed on, honestly. Just a meh experience. Something to kill an hour. It could be good. I just felt like no effort was made to make this zoo good.

We visited one weekend in August. It was not crowded at all. The staff was pretty friendly. However, the zoo itself was lacking unfortunately. The carousel nor the train were working. The only food venue inside the zoo was closed even though it was well within the posted hours of operation. We checked twice, once about 10 minutes after they were supposed to open and then an hour after that. The signage for animal exhibits was scarce and not really helpful. A notable portion of the animals were not visible, possibly due to the heat. It was not an enjoyable experience. If we’re in the area again, we would probably skip this. To be fair, it would probably be an entirely different experience in the fall or cooler months where the animals are more likely to be out and about. Also, I believe one of the exhibits may have been closed for renovations or something so that would also explain why it didn’t seem like the typical zoo experience.

Do not go during the summer unless it's unseasonably cold because otherwise the animals AND all the people are annoyed and exhausted.
As an avid animal lover, it was a little sad to see how little coverage from the heat and how small some of their cages were at this new location... I won't be back even when things are cooler.

This zoo made me very sad. The enclosures are so small and overgrown with weeds for all animals. No coverage for the animals on a hot humid day, and a lot of the animals are isolated all by themselves and they just seem so depressed
