Came to town for father’s day and needed to pick up a few items, the appearance of the store is the same as I remembered years ago except the self check outs. Now I’m not one of those people who refuse to use them so we proceed to the self check out with probably 20 items at most in our cart. Here we stand for 20 minutes because if you don’t put EACH item on the bagging area then the computer does not let you proceed. Now I got 4 cases of drinks and a HUGE watermelon that I now have to put on the bagging side so that this stupid computer will let me move it back to my buggy so I can continue checking out. I’m visually frustrated at this point having to wait while this poor employee helps me and 3 other people at other self checkouts while I’m sure she is only being paid for one persons work.. it seems that Geneva wants to keep it’s town small but at least put in decent self checkouts and stop making one employee tend to 4 completely ridiculous checkouts

The store is well maintained, shelves are all neatly displayed. Above all, its clean as it can be.

Some things are expensive but usually a good place to buy groceries. The only thing I didn't like was on a Wednesday they had supposedly all day roasted chickens in their deli for 499. But when I got there at 3 pm waited in line for. 15 minutes to get one while seeing other people come in jump in line ahead of me a picked up chickens that I was told was ordered early by phone. When I was asked what I wanted I told them I wanted a chicken they told me they were all gone. But

I don't know why I even bother coming back to the deli here. They are always out of the special on Wed and today they tried to overcharge me by $2! She put my hush puppies on top of my greens instead of on the deli paper and by the time I got home they were totally saturated and I couldn't eat them. I asked for gravy on my potatoes and got a half teaspoon drizzled on top like it was gold or something.

The Piggly Wiggly in Geneva has way more variety and choices for groceries than any of the other grocery stores. The store is absolutely freezing inside though. I have to bring a jacket in there every time, no matter the season or current weather outside. The store is clean and well stocked most of the time.
