I went in there to help my sister find something for her trip. She didn't like much and I came out there with $100 myself. I stopped looking. It's no telling how much I would have come out there with. The women there were so sweet and helped me spend my money.

Very bad experience ! Visiting Gardendale Alabama from SC . Out of all the Catos that I have visited 40 plus years. They always greeted you when you walk in. This one didn't, but didn't care about that. The problem I had they didn't waited on me. After shopping I waited patiently while they rang up a lady and the cashier and another worker had a long discussion. Afterwards it was my turn to be check out the cashier walked away. The Manger got a phone call just before it was my turn, walks up to check out talking on the phone personly I guess to another worker. The cashier and the other cashier just stood there looking at me. There were three workers, including the manger. Because she told the person on the phone she just hired a worker, not one said a word to me. I had several items I wanted to purchase plus . I stoodfew minutes longer. Still didn't acknowledge I was there, just stood stirring, so I just put the stuff of the counter and walked away. They didn't say a word seeing me walk off. Not gonna spend money in a store that doesn't want my business. So disappointed, was buying gifts. My daughter was going to buy some jeans. After I told her what happened, she replied " I wondered why you haven't been check out . I'm not buying these jeans I wanted. " So we walked out. Never in all Catos have experience this treatment.
