“This place is GREAT! Lots to look at, friendly staff and some really great prices. The vendors here often do deep discounts of 50 - 75% in order to keep merchandise moving so they can bring in the new stuff.”

“I came to Wade Refinishing when I had a very old and valuable secretary that got some water damage in storage. One of the horizontal surfaces had gotten some water logged insulation resting on it until I happened to find it. It had black spots and crud on it. Mr. Wade repaired it and I am ecstatic!!! Picture attached below of the whole secretary. Thank you Mr. Wade!”

“Urban Suburban is a brilliant place. It's one of those spots you can find yourself walking around inside for hours. There a stalls where small business owners can put their pieces inside and you can purchase them. I loved just looking at all of the items in each of the stalls. From furniture, jewelry, home decor they have it all. I would definitely classify this spot as a place to find one of a kind gifts. I had messaged them on IG a while ago asking if they had any bags of jewelry for sale. I know that is a popular trend these days. Unfortunately they did not have that, but I do think it would be a good thing to add to keep up to date with the trends. If anyone is in the area looking for a spot to kill some time, I highly suggest coming into Urban Suburban.”

“If you want the best and finest in French Antiques, this is the place to go. Amazing selection and the owner (who is French) is constantly updating his inventory. There is a large showroom area and a huge warehouse area behind that. Both are open to the public.”

“I have an oil-on-canvass painting in an antique-looking gold frame that was missing a piece of the moulding at lower right corner (see the gaping hole on the frame in Pic1). So I visited Christopher House Antiques in Birmingham, Alabama, and spoke to Mr. Stephen Kao, its owner. He is such a nice gentleman, and very pleasant to talk to. He examined the frame and said he would be able to repair it. Basically he made a copy of the moulding pattern from another part of the frame and inserted it into the gaping hole, and touched it up as needed with gold paint. Now the frame looks fantastic (see Pic2), and I can’t even tell if it ever had a gaping hole ! I highly recommend Mr. Stephen Kao and his Christopher House Antiques for repairing antique pieces including frames and art pieces. He told me he also repairs antique furniture.”

“This place is really neat. There are some lovely antique pieces, and the building is quite large, so plan on spending a good amount of time browsing the aisles.”
