The manager Caucasian fm with long dark hair at the 11th Street Dollar General in Gadsden, AL exited the door really urgently yesterday Sunday July 14 2024 and jammed my wrist as I was reaching for the door and she shoved it open very hard carrying a long heavy silver chain yelling at me "we're closed" over and over. She startled me too because it was so unexpected and I said "I'm sorry" but she kept being rude. I was telling her how crazy it was the way she was behaving and being so obnoxiously rude and was supposed to be more courteous and polite to her customers and tried to explain my husband and I were daily customers. But my offers of trying to calm her down to a level of niceness or professional adult level went completely ignored. Other customers were getting out of their vehicles to shop and heard the entire thing, so they got back into their cars. I have reported her to corporate. I hope they fix this situation because she's a rude bully to everyone I know. I am 62 years old and if she treats me as an elderly fm that way then she'd most likely treat ANYONE with her bullying customers the same way!!! SMH

Nice staff. Store a bit overcrowded in the isles though. They just remodeled so it's still not very organized but it's getting there!

I stopped by this particular location early yesterday morning because it's close to the hospital where we had just been toldthat my Father is to live out his last few days. I had just I pulled in from a side street due to South 11th being under construction. As I started to turn in to a parking place and I noticed a temporiary closed sign and decided to park for a second to find somewhere else to buy some essentials but I didn't make it fully into spot before the store manager came out shouting at me. Asking if I had seen the giant sign and just me belittling me. She was just overall very rude, disrespectful she kept it up while I drove off don't know why she behaved that way but it definitely was not the best time for me. I had a full on panic attack once I got away. Human beings shouldnt treat each other like that. I will never shop at any Dollar General again

This is where I go 99% of the times I need to do a store run. It’s less than 5mins from my home and besides them not having hamburger meat and being out of a few items here and there, I can’t really say I have any complaints.
