“Kim, Manager at Dollar Tree in Phenix Plaza, Phenix City, AL, was extremely helpful when I went in to find butter cookies for our church Vacation Bible School. There were three packs on the shelf. When I asked about more, she went to the stockroom and pulled out two more cases for me! After checking out, she helped carry them to my car! Now, that is excellent customer service! “It has occurred to me that when we experience customer service that goes above and beyond the company's expectation as well as the customers', there is not a way to acknowledge the employee who really should be given praise for her OUTSTANDING customer service there are plenty of websites to file a complaint but I could not find where to notify a regional manager or human resources about an employee who went above and beyond the requirements of her job as a cashier at Dollar General on Victory Dr. In Columbus Ga. She sincerely cares about the safety of the customera leaving her store at closing time. I was taking an Uber when I left right at closing time. She immediately appeared concerned when she noticed I wasmt driving. She walked me outside after I told her I didn't need to wait inside. A couple minutes after she went back in, she came back out to inform me I had left an item I had just purchased at the register. When I came inside, she inquired as to the whereabouts of my ride and wanted t know what kind of vehicle. This might seem a little intrusive except for the fact that the location of this particular store is not in a very safe area of the city, and like she pointed out, I am a female alone holding my wallet in my hands. She even added that it was more important that I'd be safe than she clocked out on time. Despite the fact that she was a young woman who was done her shift, she had absolutely no problem waiting until I was able to get my ride and be safely on my way home, before starting her closing routine. So when I came back in for my item that I left I ended up waiting inside the store, per her request, and she locked the front doors and was watching out for my Uber. When it was time to leave she double-checked that I had the right vehicle and she walked me out. I will not add her name on here, but she closed the Victory Dr store on Wed night. I strongly believe that Dollar general or any business for that matter, is a better more customer friendly, safer, and welcoming place because of her. What she offers to Dollar General as an employee cannot be taught or trained. It is my opinion that she should be considered for a management position as other employees should look to her as an example of how to treat the customers of Dollar General as well as making it a safe and welcoming place to go late at night, without being too concerned about the side of town that the store is located on. Thank you for being such a caring wonderful woman, and an awesome cashier!”
“This really is my neighborhood dollar general. I love how I can choose to drive up. However when I have no car access its literally a 10 minute walk from my home. They always greet you at the door and have some great shopping music. The staff is great to. I love the dollar isle and mark downs. Can't resist a bargain.”
“Store was clean but a bit disorganized, Isles go east to west and north to south in a compact size store making finding things a little tricky. Having helpful employees was a plus. They had some fantastic sales on toys so I got 2 nice birthday toys, 2 Birthday cards, tape and wrapping paper for under $40.00!”

“About a year ago I went into this store couldnt believe how horrible it looked. I even brought friends back in to take pictures and laughed and was thankful I didn't have to work there. I've worked retail pretty much my whole life and I had never EVER seen anything as bad as that store. You couldnt find anything, there was more product, FAR more product, out of the boxes and on the floor, than on the shelves. Today I went in and honestly could not tell you how much better it looked. It was a completely different store. It looked great, was organized and sparkly clean. the cashier and stockers were friendly, asked if I needed help and said thank you when I left. Now that it's like it is, I definitely will be back.?”

“This turned out to be a really cool place I do a lot of business with them he definitely has pretty much anything you could possibly be looking for probably two of them and he's a nice guy and his informative about some of the specialty items that he has the only reason I didn't give it the full five stars is because he has pipe dreams of the price tags he puts on items!!! If its something you really want you can get him down to a reasonable price. All and all its a cool place!!!”
