Run down and sad atmosphere inside. Ordered blackened fish tacos with grouper upcharched which is ok, however they didn't bring the tacos with grouper a skinny whitefish most likely sway. I told the waitress and she said she rang it up right but I said that doesn't make it that the kitchen did it right. Afterwords still got up charged and didn't enjoy it at all. Recommend you try another restaurant with better food and atmosphere, hopefully customer service as well

We stopped in here as we were checking out most of the businesses in OWA. Planned to just look at the menu and ask a few questions. But were talked into trying the fish taco. She said it was on a burrito shell so was large & cut in half. We shared it. Was very tasty. Just some lettuce and tomato with thousand island dressing and then fish topping that, but for the price that was a lot of fish. No sides come with it but it's filling enough by itself, even half of it was filling! Tempted to go back for the fish dinner that was also recommended to us. We tasted the bushwhacker mixer and it's very close to the taste of what we learned to make 30+ years ago in St Thomas USVI. Reading menus And discussing "bushwackers" with other restaurants, most of them have all the wrong ingredients. I would buy a bushwhacker at sassy bass. They have a good mix.

Soooo this isn't Crazy Donuts anymore. I'm not sure why it still has reviews from the old place. But anyway, Sassy Bass has great food. I had the shrimp n grits and my hubby had the snapper with skillet corn and scalloped potatoes. It was all soooo good. Paige was our waitress and she was so sweet to my kids. Will be back!

This place was horrible! Food was way over priced, no good options, and The wait staff was way over worked. If you like over paying for mediocre food and like to wait, this is a place for you!

Let's get the bad stuff out of the way: the place is new and not entirely a well-oiled machine. It's an awkward use of space on the inside. OWA is an entirelt new concept in the are, so it's running through its kinks. Ok, we get it. But the good stuff is really what matters- the staff and food. The staff was very friendly and talkative, and not just the face-value, "I'm a server this is my job" kind of conversation. The food we had was NOT what we expected, in the best way possible. As apps we HAD to try the sweet and spicy bacon and the porridge balls, and we got the shrimp for free with a coupon. The bacon was outstanding- its is only a touch sweet with an incredible smokiness and heat that tickles the back of your throat. My dad enjoyed the porridge balls a lot- they're basically hush puppies with meat. The shrimp was good, too- nothing to write home about, but hey free shrimp is the best kind of shrimp. What really inspired me to write this review were the main courses: the grouper grill and shrimp n' grits. The grouper was cooked so perfectly, and my parents loved the sweet chili sauce on top. My mom loved the potatoes and corn it came with. My shrimp in the shrimp and grits were so savory, and it was a generous amount of shrimp in the dish. The grits too were hefty and flavorful. The sautéed veggies that came with it were also a wonderful surprise of flavor- not watery, sad pieces pieces of squash, instead very well seasoned and cooked. To be honest, we came here based off the reviews from other Sassy Bass locations. Seeing how it was reviewed here before based off of COVID isn't fair for the business. Give it a chance, it's great food and it will probably be an even better place as OWA starts to pick up the pace.

We visited during an event at OWA. The restaurant wasn't crowded but the wait was long. Maybe they were short staffed like most of the country. The menu items all sounded delicious. Our waitress was friendly. My husband got the red snapper. He is a big seafood eater and usually loves snapper. He couldn't finish it. He ate the other half of my burger because his fish just wasn't good at all. The street corn was just awful. My son got the fried mahi mahi and he really liked that dish. The crab claws were good ok. The prices were high for the quality of the food. Definitely won't return.

The best food and service in town, as a local it is great to have such service and as a patron the best surprise was the attention to detail, the bloody Mary's and the food are to die for !!!!!!

Service was good but the food overall was just okay. The grouper was very tasty and the scalloped potatoes were nice and creamy. Drinks were also very yummy. Everything else was kind of lackluster.

I'm surprised at the reviews of this restaurant. I had the most amazing meal last night! I ordered the sushi grade tuna, medium rare. It was mouth watering delicious! My husband had the grouper with creamy crab sauce, topped with shrimp. I will say, we started with the smoked Gouda balls and I would not recommend those. But otherwise, both of our meals were amazing!
