Enjoyed shopping at this farm's market today. I wish I had tried them before now! They are open seasonally, as their crops are ready. They also carry some items from other local farms. I will be back!

This locally owned and operated farm is very popular, for generations, around these parts specifically for their corn. The corn is what first brought me here but all their stuff keeps me coming back for more. This is the real deal for locally grown food, it's geniunely poper southern produce with delicious corn and some of the biggest watermelons I've ever seen. In addition to the nice variety of fruits and vegetables, nost of the time they have fresh meats from Magnolia Springs, Glory Farm. I've had several different cuts of meat and they have been outstanding. You only have to visit once to pick up on the friendliness, knowledge, and fine work ethic of the folks that make this farm run. It's obvious when you observe the young employees are eager to help carry vegetables out for the older people, very nice touch. Bottom line: it's off the beaten path but definitely worth the drive. There's fresh vegetables and fruits, sometimes just minutes from picking with meats, a friendly, cheerful and energetic staff so it's highly recommended!!! July 2022 by me to you (M)
Great selection. The striped watermelons were so large that I decided not to purchase one because they were too big for an 80 year old woman like me to handle all by myself. I could eat it all by myself. I really did not want the smaller solid green melon. No particular reason. May get one of those when I am in the mood for it. I grew up eating the striped variety. I wish they sold half or quarter sections of the striped melon. There were no cut version of either melon.I noticed they are selling meat. Ground beef, steaks, etc. How can that be? There is a variety of vegetables as you can see from the photos. Tons of corn. I cannot eat corn because of the starch. Yes, it taste good. I remember the taste, but when your body changes as you age, you have to change your eating habits to accommodate what your body can or cannot handle.I could eat meat three times a day seven days a week but the stomach secretes more acid to digest meat, thus resulting in acid reflux. So, back to the fruits and vegetables. Growing up in the 1940's and 1950's we had meat once a week on Sunday. Weekdays it was red beans and rice; butter beans (Lima) and rice; collard greens; turnip greens; fish on Fridays; gumbo and rice; ham, gumbo, and whatever on Sunday. Sunday was the biggest spread with maybe company visiting. No one worked on Sunday. Church and socializing on Sunday.Sorry, I got off track. They have baked goods, honey, and strawberries.
