Worst biscuit I have ever had. They say they serve breakfast but run out of grits by 7:30am. Not impressed. Make alot more grits. Your breakfast is good. Even if the biscuits are inedible, they still sold me one.. My biscuit was so disappointing.I had to go to Bk afterwards, because I was so disappointed. Which is sad, because your near by...still a good thing. Service is meh. Gas is the highest in the area. .Do something about your biscuits make um fluffy, don't let's um sit in the pan to long under that heat lamp.

So I just wanted to give an honest review about my experience and interaction with the people at The Foley Depot. I’ve got to say that this store has some of the most genuine, down to earth, warm hearted people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting in a long time. People like that are pretty much extinct! But these people were so welcoming, with me being a new comer to the state all the way from Louisville, KY and all, and spoke to me as if they’d known me my whole life and strangely I felt almost the same way. It was like a scene out of an old movie. It felt SUPER nostalgic. Needless to say I was impressed with their hospitality and down home attitude. So at this time I want to call each of the workers that I met out by name and show my gratitude for their outstanding service: First and foremost I have to thank Gwen. She didn’t know me from Adam but she decided to take a chance on me and help me out when I came up $1.90 short so I said to her “ Thank you so much, what you just did has now made me a loyal patron. It only took $1.90 to make me not want to go nowhere else around.” Of course she laughed and you could see a glimmer of pride in her eyes upon hearing it. She was SO helpful! I’ve never seen any other worker in the customer service industry go to the lengths that she did to serve me and my needs in the moment. Next I gotta give a shout out to Donna. She didn’t say a whole lot while I was there but not because she was anti-social or anything but because she seemingly has a lot on her plate. I got the vibe that she’s just a real hard worker. Which is a fantastic quality for any body you have work for you. You can’t train work ethic and she’s apparently got a Masters Degree in it! Then I met Sheila, who works on the food side of things there, and we had one of those deep conversations, about philosophical existentialism and faith and it was GREAT! Anyways I can NOT say enough good things about this place. The station is quaint, the food is good, and the customer service, in my opinion, is better than anywhere else you’re going to find around here. Truth is, we can all buy the same products at different places we just choose to shop at places and sometimes even spend more money than we intended when we feel appreciated and respected. Anyway, the next time you think Gas, Food, Drink, or Convenience think THE FOLEY DEPOT!!!??

They claim to have the best pulled pork sandwich in Baldwin County. At 5 or 6 bucks, it's pretty good, but not twice as good as Piggly Wiggly's at under $2,50.

I just went here to get a drink during my work shift and while I was in there a gentleman in one of the isles passed out. It turns out he was diabetic and his blood sugar dropped and he was hardly able to stand. The workers promptly got him into a chair while we called an ambulance to come check him out. Rita, one of the cashiers, stayed with him and got him a snickers and a coke to help bring his blood sugar back up. All the while making sure she did everything within her power to help him. Anyone with that kind of compassion for strangers deserves a 5 star review for not only the establishment they work for, but for her as a person.

I’ve been passing this little smoke fest store. The pink pig on the corner is a landmark for coming home late, or going early. Needed gas. Went inside & the friendliest lady. Other honestly scrounge lookers came in & she knew them. It was the sweetest feeling. Ribs w/dry rub once home were wonderful. Not greasy, & not falling off the bone!

While Amanda was nice, she was also smoking at the register next to the deli. Seemed unprofessional.

So....the pig says Baldwins best bbq. Uh no if this is the best bbq in Baldwin County I would hate to try the worst. The pork tasted like it came out of a slow cooker two weeks ago. The sauce was probably purchased from Dollar General across the street along with the stale and stiff buns. I could only stomach barely half the sandwich I spent 5 bucks on and I am hoping I dont get sick. The service was ok so nothing bad to say there but the food is questionable at best.

I found The Depot from an article on AL.com called "The Alabama Road Trip You Must Take This Summer." Unfortunately, they did not consult me and they needed to. I have never ate at a place where the food was very good, but it was such a pain in the a** to eat there. I will start with the good parts. I had a pork plate with red skin potato salad, slaw, 3 ribs, and a sweet tea for $15, a pretty reasonable price. The ribs were fall off the bone and the rub on it was superb. The pork was salted, pulled, and tender. The myo slaw was chopped, crunchy, sweet, and creamy. The potato salad was creamy with a mustard base and red potato skins. The food was really good with the ribs and potato salad being the stars of the meal. So the most important part, The Depot got right! But what a list of extra circumstances that were wrong! 1. No free refill on sweet tea and the tea was adequate at best. 2. No housemade sauce here! BBQ sauce is the Sweet Baby Ray's individual size. They gave me two for the pork and two for the ribs. Sauce would have been 39 cents a piece for more. 3. My pork turned out to be prettt good but it was put in a stryofoam container and warmed in a microwave. 4. I was given a plastic spork and trying to eat pulled pork with it was a frustrating task. Finally, I gave up and just used my fingers. 5. I was not given napkins. 6. I had to eat at a picnic table outside in 100 degree Alabama summer weather with gnats. 7. Discovered 2 tables inside after I was finished. My suggestion is to pick up the BBQ especially the ribs, and take it home to eat with your own sauce, silverware, table, etc.
