We have rented from this location multiple times and never had any issues. We rent mini vans. The vehicles are always clean and in good condition. We have had great experience with customer service. Always kind and helpful! Definitely recommend using this location.

The one guy working there needs help as he has to close the front to clean cars for customers in the back. Disappointed in the availability of what I had to choose from for a rental.

1. Did not have the car I had rented and was promised. So I got a smaller vehicle at the same price.2. I came back In a rush, and needed 5.8 gallons to be full. He told me they would charge $13 per gallon.!.

Reserved car on 10/18 through app., Was told would receive a call within 3-4 hours never did. Went by this location two weeks later to make sure I would have a car. Day came for me to get a car and no one showed up, tried calling this branch no answer. Call corporate office and they tried to calling the office no answer. Never heard from them. Called insurance company and cancelled the reservation

This is not entirely the fault of the establishment. First, you can’t call them even though there’s a phone number listed. Next the guy could work on his people skills a bit when it comes to the terms. I felt like I could end up with several hundred dollars in fees if I didn’t hold my nose right. But also to rent a one way rental really makes you want to ask for a cigarette after because you get screwed.

My experience was completely the opposite of the bad reviews listed here. I rented through the Hertz phone app for a car the following day, and then immediately called the Cox Creek Parkway facility to verify that they really had the car that I rented online. He said that it was good that I called because they did not have the mid-sized SUV that the app set me up with. He said that he did have a 4-door Toyota Tacoma pickup truck with a bed cover, and it had only 6 something thousand miles on it so it was in very nice condition. That was fine with me, so he allocated it to me. On the phone he went through all of the documentation that I needed to bring.When I arrived the next day, I opened my State Farm app to show proof of insurance and was surprised to find that the online information was not what I expected. Frank patiently worked with me on several phone calls to State Farm to try to get my insurance evidence. When I could get not satisfaction from State Farm corporate, Frank went a couple of doors down to the local State Farm agent and worked with them to generate a computer report that showed evidence of my insurance. He was fantastic and saved the day for me. Outstanding customer service, completely overachieving!

Do not do business with this Florence location..I returned a car to this location and he literally told me there was hair in the back floorboard and said he would have to charge me a cleaning fee...I took it next door to the car wash and had to clean it again. It was spotless when I brought it in... other than"hair in the back floorboard". Only hair that was back there were a few strands of my daughters hair, you had to really look to see it. I've rented countless cars and never had an issue like this

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! Deserves zero stars!!! Will never use this location again! I made a short notice booking reservation and they were unable to accommodate the reservation and I understood. I tried again a month later for a family trip giving a weeks notice this time. Called to confirm the reservation 3 days prior to pick up and it was confirmed it would available, and I also received an email confirmation the night before. However, 3 hours prior to pick up, I received a call saying they could not accommodate the reservation, that the vehicle had been dropped at another location. I asked if I could go get the vehicle at that location as my family leaves the following day for vacation. And was told the location of the vehicle is unknown. The were unable to substitute the vehicle for a different class either. This is very poor business for Hertz and the local office. In short, do not reserve a car with them even with confirmations given unless you have a back up plan!! Will ruin a vacation.

ZERO STARS! DO NOT USE THIS PLACE! We had reservations since Aug. 12th and they cancelled on us today, October 6th, one day prior to us leaving on our trip! Horrible service at the local level and the corporate level. Frank at the Florence location was extremely rude on the phone and could care less that we are now without what we were promised. His manager is James Fletcher and of course was unavailable to speak to me. I called corporate and they would not take my compliant over the phone but wanted me to go online to report it!!! I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau next!

I just dropped the car off and the man turns the sign 'closed' as I am walking to the door and he's looking right at me. I was told to give them sone paperwork because the place I rented from was not a corporate office. So I didn't get to do that so I hope everything is okay with the return. I also wanted to speak to them and tell them the brakes are terrible oh well.

**UNRELIABLE!!*****DO NOT RECOMMEND***This Hertz location would not honor my reservation because I bank with Regions Bank and was going to pay using my Regions Card. Was told "we don't take Regions." Why? Because of a dispute between the Hertz manager and Regions Bank where some other customer in the past filed a chargeback on their Regions Card. This had NOTHING to do with me or my rental. I had all other documents needed. What an unprofessional and petty way to do business!! Hertz should have NEVER taken my reservation without giving me a specific warning that this location refuses to take ANY Regions card. My plans, at that point, were ruined and I lost a day of work for NOTHING! I was unable to find a replacement rental at that point!So, the Hertz lot that day sat full of rental cars making zero dollars for their business while they turned a legitimate customer away. Very poor management and business skills. I'm surprised they are still in business.

We rented a van that was brand new, black carpet and seats, took it to the beach for 5 days. I am posting photos of the condition when we returned it. They wanted to charge us a $200 cleaning fee because they are too freaking lazy to run a vacuum. We paid nearly $800 to rent this van and we are scolded because it had a little lint and “hair” REALLY? Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. They are rude and ridiculous. Unprofessional and are looking to up-charge you for anything they can. Scammers, be ware! We read all the terrible reviews but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. The employee said the van was filthy. Absolutely absurd and I will be filing a complaint to corporate office. Probably going to pocket the charge for having to turn a vacuum on himself.

The guy working at front desk was retired military saw his badge was rude and unprofessional. There was only him working no other staff and they were out of cars strange. Needs to change his behavior and should be given training on handling customer service.

Made a reservation. Payed the insurance. Traveled 1 hour to huntsville for the car because it was urgent for the next day. Was told that there was a system problem with a smiley face and with no effort to look for other options. Not the right way to treat your customers. Wasted driving to Huntsville. Had to find a solution myself in a very short time. If this car rental would be my only option I would’nt be able to get to another airport and my whole planned trip would be over.
