“My wife and I like the smaller stores versus a Walmart. Food land has cashier's, so I don't have to self scan, like you do at Walmart. Also, there is a meat dept. So you can have your steaks or whatever type meat cut any thickness you want. To heck with Walmart.”

“So yeah, it's a DG. Lol. The employees are very friendly but the store is kind of a mess and you literally have to go through the stock boxes yourself to find what you need. It's like they just set the boxes around in the right section and let the customers get it themselves. Could be worse, I guess. And they are probably short handed like everyone nowadays. 4 stars because the people are nice.”

“This Dollar General is well stocked, clean, and more organized than a lot of the other DGs. They even had the Maui Shampoo & Conditoner and Coconut Water that I needed. I was so happy I didn't have to go elsewhere and got all I needed in one quick stop.They have some cute home decor stuff. Pretty impressive for Dollar General.The staff is always friendly and helpful.”

The best tomato sauce (Rao's), the best chicken bouillon (Better than Bouillon), the best teas, soaps, herbal remedies, local milk, local honey, flowers....all right by campus. “Mr. Austin a customer service representative at Walmart on Cloverdale road is spectacular! A strange man followed my mom and I all throughout the store and we had an uneasy feeling. Once we spoke up and asked an associate to follow us to our vehicle, all Walmart associates were very helpful and concerned of the situation. Mr. Austin in particular walked us to our vehicle, checked all of our surrounding areas and also helped us load our items! I recommend if you are in Walmart (or anywhere) to speak up because they were very helpful and wanted to make sure it didn't happen again. Thank you Mr. Austin and all other Walmart associates!”
