Do not use this company. My policy increased 75% in two years. When I called them about it my agent told me they were cancelling my policy. If a home insurance company is giving you grief when you are NOT filing a claim, RUN!

PLEASE stay away from this company! Horrible business practices and they will absolutely keep your money without providing coverage!I wish I didn't even have to pick 1 star, but judging from most of these reviews, y'all already know what you're getting into. In 2022 they raised our premium by over $2,000. We found coverage elsewhere, no big deal. Our mortgage company accidentally paid the premium to Myrick in June 2022 and our new carrier. Of course we didn't get a refund, so we paid an increased mortgage payment for over 6 months because our escrow account was in the negative. I started reaching out repeatedly in December 2022 about where our refund was. We finally got a refund check in spring 2023, for the incorrect amount. They shorted us over $1,000 with no explanation. I've been in direct contact with Brittany Copeland this entire time and when she finally sent us a refund breakdown, their own records don't reflect the correct refund amount but it also doesn't even match the shorted check we received. Again, no explanation. It's now June 2023 and we're 1 year into this and still don't have the rest of our money. I've asked to contact someone else multiple times and am never given any info. I've contact the BBB and I have an appointment with a lawyer next week. Find someone else to handle your insurance needs, like most other reviewers, this company is a complete nightmare.

I've been with them for years now and I signed all the paperwork and sent the money in. A YEAR later they call and have the money in their account but FORGOT TO PAY MY INSURANCE!! Even though everything was signed. Then told me oops we can't cover you anymore. And canceled it!

We have been with the myrick agency since 4/27/22. Our policy has now cancelled twice. First time because our agent did not tell us we needed to submit proof after the sale of the home of the inspectors completed tasks. Second because they want $1200 extra than the entire year of insurance ($1700) we paid up front in April. The agent assigned to us does not answer the phone, does not follow through with her actions, & has cost us more headaches than reassurance.

Do not use them! After hurricane sally, roofing replacement went great on a 15 year old roof. Considering it’s age, they paid 6000 on a 18000 dollar roof. Ok great! Then 2nd claim on a over head water leak from fireplace alongside a bedroom wall the fireplace backed up to. It was this quick: CANCELED. Do not use them, they want your money only!!!!!! Crappy service from the desk to adjusters to inspectors. Nothing about them is professional. It’s an attitude, they need us, we don’t need them.

I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS INS AGENCY! I have been trying to cancel a home policy for over a year, because we have double insurance. Brittany has our case and she is the worst at communicating, never returns phone calls, Selena was supposed to help but never called back, she pretended she didn’t know of me and my husband, the receptionist is not nice, she is rude! The manager doesn’t answer the phone, I’m beyond frustrated! Canceling a policy and getting reimbursed should not be this hard!

The Myrick Agency couldn't answer basic questions about their coverage. I told them not to cash my check because of this. Later I discovered they had cashed it despite their assurances they would not. And then they refused to refund me the money until I proved I had other insurance. This is not an ethical or professional operation.

This is without a doubt the worst insurance agency have ever dealt with and probably one of the worst businesses I have never dealt with. You can never get Mr. Myrick on the phone, and his workers either ignore you, Rarely if ever return phone calls, and when you do get them on the phone try to push you off on someone who is not there. They actually cost me over $9000 because they would never send an insurance verification to the bank I had my home mortgage with, which eventually forced the bank to force other insurance coverage that cost 9000+ dollars more than the insurance I already paid Myrick. Therefore he and his company took a commission on that sale and did not perform, which cost me the extra insurance coverage forced by the bank. It was incompetence in malpractice and I actually contacted a lawyer to see if it was worth suing him over this malfeasance. Once I switched insurance brokers to another broker in Daphne Alabama, (Thomas, Harrison, & Associates), it was like night and day and have not had any problems since.

Called Progressive's roadside assistance claim. Got an operator in a foreign land, couldn't understand, 32 minutes and several requests for a supervisor, got a lad in Clarksville, TN. She understood me, but let me know that the $5 I have been paying for three years for roadside assistance was only good for a local tow, and since my dealer is in Mobile, they would need a credit card to pay for the truck. GOOD BYE PROGRESSIVE, this Platinum Customer is GONE.

Poor Customer Service. Every year I have to call to get them to send the bill to my mortgage company. They will NOT call the mortgage company for you to fix their mistake. You have to call and get the mortgage company to pay the renewal premium. All the Myrick Agency is good for is to take your premium and NOT PROVIDE CUTOMER SERVICE. If that is what you want then purchase your insurance on the internet not from this agency. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I also had to call several times before I received a return phone call.

I’ve been with the Myrick Agency for about a year and a half. My homeowners has been cancelled now THREE times because of non-payment from the Myrick agency! I have to call them every 6 months to let them know my homeowners is cancelling. They say oh it will back date and we will take of it. One time they did not take care of it and I had to call several times and it took several weeks for me to get my homeowners reinstated. Not to mention, every time it cancels the insurance company has to come out and do an inspection. In all, there is no reason I should be getting cancellation letters when I use a insurance agency and when the money is there in my escrow account just the agency needs to pay it. Just be aware you pretty much have to hold their hand to make them do exactly what you want. Yes, they’re nice on the phone but don’t expect to get a phone call returned! Save yourself some time and find a more professional business to handle your homeowners insurance.
