The I stayed in a cabin for months, it was awesome ?! It was clean, it had a fully stock kitchen- microwave-dishes etc. The owner are adorable and will go out of their way to help you enjoy your stay. Bonus is , you're a short walking distance to beaches, boat ramp onto Mobile Bay.
Nearby activities: Sideways Beach, walking on pier, bicycle lanes, Fishing, boat ramps ? near orange st pier, American Legions with tikki bar ,live band and play area for kids on beach.
Gambino Italian restaurant is across the street from Legions. Downtown Fairhope has first Friday of each month Art Walk?after 5p? .Fairhope beach has a longer pier, Huge water fountain ⛲️ , a playground for kids on the beach ⛱️ . Everyplace is dog ?friendly and must be on leash. Not to for get to mention the beautiful weather we have yet bring your umbrella ☂️ for those spring/ summer downpour ⛈️!!!
Safety: Most shopping stores close at 5pm. There are a few bars open till 1am. Most residents are home by 8pm so it's quiet . Not alot of traffic out.
Walkability: Sidewalks everywhere

We had reservations, but when we arrived, noticed the place was very run down. The lady came out and offered to show us the cottage. So we followed her to a very old and run down cottage. And the furnishings inside were just as old. If you have allergy and sinus problems, this would put them on high alert. We did NOT stay here, but found a hotel. It’s a shame because this lady has a prime location.

We had reservations but did NOT stay. The place is so run down that we couldn’t even believe that they rent them out. No yard maintenance or live plants. Cottage falling apart. Furnishings were ancient. Very disappointed.

For nearly 30 years we have stayed at Oak Haven. I become homesick for it when gone too long. The pandemic prevented our visits to this home away from home and finally being able to return feels like a family reunion. The cottages are all one of a kind and through the years we have stayed in almost every unit. Relaxing, dog friendly, homey, and the owners Miriam and Ralph have become friends and treat us like family. The town of Fairhope is a unique treasure. Love the bay. So delighted to return.

First of all the place is filthy and had everyone’s allergies terrible. Along with the roaches that were everywhere in the “cottage”. If you stay here make sure you check all the furniture bc there was a broken lawn chair out front, and because I had five children I must not have been able to keep an eye on all of them and said they broke this chair. When no one was allowed to go outside alone. We were told one price on the phone and then charged another price after. This place is very outdated. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
