I came in to get 2 tires replaced as they were showing concerning visible wear and tear. I also had them inspect my other two tires as I had been told by Mavis earlier this morning that they were dangerous to drive on and also needed to be replaced.
Despite having the opportunity to upsell me on tires I didn't need, Mike, conducted a thorough inspection of my tires and informed me that the damage was purely cosmetic and that my tires were perfectly safe to drive on. As for the other two, he said that while they were old, that the tread was "like new" and and the tires were also safe.
What truly set this experience apart was Mike's approach; he offered advice as if it were for his own vehicle, focusing solely on what was necessary and best for me. His honesty is commendable.
I am immensely grateful for the respectful and courteous service I received and when my tires do eventually need replacing, I will be returning to Southern Rubber Tire.
They also kindly checked my sister's tires, who had followed me to give me a ride, and while they are close to being in need of replacing, they told her that she probably had 5-10K miles left and that it wasn't urgent.

“I simply can’t say enough good things about this place. I stopped by on a Friday and spoke with Paul: super nice guy. They didn’t have the size I needed, but he highly recommended the Maxxis Razr A/T and said he could have them for me on Wednesday. Unfortunately, the tires didn’t show on Wednesday. The tires never made it on the truck from Nashville and it was going to be another week before they would get here. Frustrating, but stuff happens, so no big deal. Later that day, I received a call from the owner, Steve, apologizing for the delay and said he would return my deposit if I decided not to wait. Later that night, I got a text from Steve saying that he was able to find the tires cheaper from another location and that they would be here on Friday. I don’t know too many companies where the owner would get that involved and make things happen. The tires arrived on Friday as promised. Paul and Old Man Steve had them installed in no time and took the time to explain to me which tires needed more weight, why they needed more weight and where best to put them on my truck. Paul was also spot-on with his tire recommendation. Stop by and see Owner Steve, Old Man Steve, and Paul. They will definitely get you taken care of.”
“I have been going to this place for years. They are honest and will not try to upsell parts and services. A few years ago one of the big chain shop was trying to charge me >$600 for wheel alignment because some part was jammed and they wanted me to replace the part. I took the car to Lee Rogers and they just unfroze the part and did not have to replace the part at all. I have been going here ever since. Mark and Steven are excellent.”

“I took my car in a few days earlier to have the spark plugs changed because I didn't want any problems on the road to see my new grand baby. As I was preparing to leave on my trip, my car started acting funny. I called Car Care and told me to bring it right in. They worked me in and replaced my battery that had seen better days. As a matter fact, I haven’t even talked to him for some reason I saw their sign and I saw Toyota written somewhere and I’m restoring an old Toyota supra. So I thought I’d look them up and I read these reviews.I’m 2 1/2 hours away, and when I get ready to get my supra or any of my cars worked on, I’m gonna try to bring them to these people. “On April 24th my husband and I were heading to North Carolina from Mississippi. We got right past Birmingham, Al and hit a pot hole which cause a blow out immediately. It was close to 12-12:30 am in the middle of night. My husband is a mechanic…we own Justin’s Auto Repair in Forest, Ms. So changing a tire wouldn’t be a big deal for my husband to do himself but I have a bmw 528i which has run flat tires and doesn’t have a spare tire. We called road side assistance, the local police, etc. trying to see if we could get a tire and get it changed. They offered no help but a tow. So with us having a run flat we turned around and went back to the nearest little town and when we pulled off the exit there was tire shop right there that was open which was crazy because it was almost 1am so we stopped they didn’t have the exact tire but had one that would work but then wouldn’t change it because the rim is aluminum so we left to go down the road to find a hotel and about a mile down the road we passed a Good Year tire place and the shop doors were open and lights on so we pulled in there and my husband knocked on the door and Steve Henson came to the door he told my husband they weren’t open but they work at night on Amazon vehicles but he said they could help us. They had the exact tire we needed and the team there got it changed very quickly and got us back on the road by 1:30am. We made the rest of the drive there and home with no problems. Steve was great and a huge help! It was an answered prayer! Would def recommend Goodyear in Hoover, Alabama. They helped us when they didn’t have to and we appreciate it so much!”
